Battleship is a mod that brings fictional turn-of-the-century-style naval combat to Battlefield 2. Take to the seas as either the Nationalists or the Communists in a civil war for control of an island empire. From coastal assaults to blue-water naval engagements, You'll find yourself in pitched naval battles of every type. The mod features a wide array of naval hardware including battleships, cruisers, seaplanes, and even rowboats.
Battleship focuses on teamplay, and it takes up to an entire squad to make the most of the warships. A detailed damage and weapons system demands good gunnery and smart tactics to make the most of your battleship's arms and armor. Extended view distances on select maps allow for long-range engagements not seen in stock Battlefield 2.

We've hit an iceberg and are sinking fast! This is a call to any and all BF2 mod devs/modders/enthusiasts that are interested in a rescue operation. We need some serious help, and cant do it without you all! As of right now we could use modelers, texture artists, PLAYERMODELS!!!!, coders, and testers. As you can see a whole new crew is needed to outfit this vessel. I ask anyone who might have a spare moment to model or skin a weapon to sign up on our forums, or get in contact with me in some way. I could use help from everyone, if you got spirit and some skill we need you! We have a lot of potential, and I'd hate to see all this work get waisted....
My plan is to get at least one more full release out for the BF2 engine, after that, well, we'll go were the tides take us!
I'm going to set up some posts in the community section at BSS to talk about stuff, so people can just come and go and not have to get permission to see the private forums. This is going to be a very open affair, I plan on having threads about the various aspects of the mod needing help were we can all discuss what needs to be done.

Mar 21, 2007 Full Version 1 commentThis is the full 0.31 version of battleship. The file is a .rar, which needs only be extracted to the /mods directory of Battlefield 2.

black sand studio, hunh? thats the bunch that also worked on project reality which is a very impressive mod. i guess i'll check this one out as well. looks good guys! mods should never die, i hate finding an awesome that was dead well before i found it. keep it up!
As a big fan of naval tactics and combat I've been waiting for this mod since it was supposed to be a BF1942 mod. Fun game to play over LAN (haven't really seen any servers up for it) Hope this mod isn't dead, as it does have potential, I can only hope to see a full release someday soon.

You need to extract the rar file into C/Program FIiles/EA Games/BF2/mods
Get an extracter like winrar, or winzip.....
and no 95th of course were not dead! Progress is being made on the mod everyday.
How is that done? I download it to a folder then what do I do?
