Battlegrounds: Operation Sandstorm is a total conversion mod set in the year 2033 in a fictional near future border war between the African Federation and the Middle Eastern Coalition over the last lands and resources not consumed by Global Warming in Northern Africa.
"The KA-58 is a flying tank. Developed in a joint venture between Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan in the early 2020's, the KA-58 was supplied in large numbers to Arab nations to test the new helicopter in battle. Arab military leaders were pleased with it's success and ordered many more for their air force. Now the war with the African Federation has started, the KA-58 is the MEC Air Force's main gunship alongside the older Mi-35 'Hind' and Mi-28 'Havoc' helicopters."
