Thanks for the comments :) also, the original texture is 256x256, the new texture is 512x512. Just enough of an increase to add some more clarity, but it shouldn't slow down anyone's system :)
What would be even cooler would be to create simple low-res meshes of foliage and use those instead of using the dumb (but powerful) system of billboarded textures that rotate based on the player's orientation. If you want, I might be able to create some of these for you. :)
