November 1st 2013 - Two CIA agents collecting information on a Somalian weapons dealer go missing and US SOCOM responds with Operation Urgent Response, an operation to find and bring home the two missing men.
"Following the shoot down of an Army AH-64, elements of MARSOC were mobilized to try and reach the crash site, however, upon coming to this large village they found a Militia outpost near by. A small group of Marines decided to detach and attack the Militia outpost."
This will be a tight quarters map setting with a dirt road that leads to various places in the map. Despite this close quarters setting the Marines will have access to an LAV-25 but the effectivness of it will be extremly limited and the Militia can use the urban terrain to thier advantage while trying to destroy it.
PLEASE NOTE that this is still a heavy WIP and that almost all of what you are seeing will be filled with huts, there are also going to be at least one or two more CPs that will be on the map.
There is alot more open area towards the left of the picture so the road will lead out to that and there will be some CPs out that way as well and also upon importing an LAV-25 for size comparison this map is not as small as it seems.
I think some terrain variation might look more natural, also what size is the map?
256 and I will add a few terrian differances
I recommend making the terrain, vegetation and textures before any objects are placed, but I guess we all work differently
For me BF2 editor dosent like doing terrian and vegitation without crashing so I'd probably have to send it to an outside sorce for it to be textured or have vegitation added.
How strange? Ask at the BFEditor fourms maybe
Also, I'm not sure if 256 maps will function well ingame, but I could be wrong
