A Half-Life 2 MOD, about the Battles of Midle-Earth! It is in starting fase as it has just been set up and I need a lot of concept arts for new creations (it should not look like the movies from Lord of the Rings!).. Atleast it will start with the battles from the beginning from the Second age and ends up to the Third age! Also the MOD will include battles on horses, with metal suited men and heavily armored orcs, making it really feel like a Lord of the Rings experience! For anyone who feels like to join the MOD DEV Crew, just sign up for a account on my website and mail the Team Leader!

EA can't do a god damn thing to this mod. It owns the movie rights and the movie rights alone. Since VU owns the book rights and is distributor for HL2, there may be a chance at this happening.
ok so its not going to be a LotR based mod :'( but anyway im going to keep creating something look-a-like ;)
Just rename the mod to Middle Earth or something.
If i were you I'd reconsider making a LOTR based mod, since there are big companies like EA owning the rights and your mod might get sued if they will see it as a competition. Imagine working on somethnig for let's say a year and then having to cancel the project. It has happened before with that LOTR mod for Morrowind and Stalker.
