Battlefield: Apocalypse - A Battlefield 2 Full Conversion They say the world was green once. Trees and grass. I've seen the pictures, but it's still hard to believe. How the hell did we come to this? There are a hundred different stories, and who knows what's true and what's not any more? You see, I was born After. Never got to feel the grass between my toes or climb a tree the way my grandad talked about. For all I know, he may have been the last one from Before, and he's gone now, too. I suppose it was bound to happen sooner or later. Grandad said that men always seem to find a way to destroy each other, and themselves. Seems to me that they did a hell of a job this time, and took out the whole damn planet in the bargain. I guess we're not any different now, though. No lessons learned. As we move away from test maps and we prepare to design our first "real" map (one that will make it to release), the BF:A team has split into two groups. One of the groups has switched focus from making general content to modeling, skinning, animating, and making sounds for all the various pieces that will be in this first map. The other group continues to make the things that will be needed later and to research some of our concepts further.

What we are about to show you here is all work in progress. The first map we are designing will be the remains of a flooded city. And since this map consists of a lot of water, we had to make some vehicles that could traverse this "terrain". Most of the screenshots show off our swamp boat and jetski, but if you look real close in a couple of the screenshots, you can see a glimpse of our semi and trailor that will be used in some of our other maps.

We also have a brief movie clip to show off some of our animations. Taking screenshots of animations just doesn't do them justice. You just have to see them in action to be able to appreciate them.

And on a final note, Juralis has given us Page 5 - The Wonder from Down Under and Kid U.K. of his A Modder's Journal. This week's page discusses BF:A's amazing diversity and highlights our international teammates.
