It is time to put Advancement back into the battle with Battlefield Advanced, a Battlefield 2142 modification. Loosely based on Nintendo Co.'s Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising, Battlefield Advanced is a first person shooter tactical warfare mod made to put you in the place of the soldier on the battlefield. Control tanks, APC's, jeeps and more as you battle as either the Black Hole army or the Orange Star forces. Fight together as a team and you'll be victorious! Fight alone and be destroyed. Become an army and you'll conquer--with Battlefield Advanced!

Battlefield Advanced is a story driven multiplayer modification for Battlefield 2142, loosely based on Nintendo's Advance Wars 2: Black Hole Rising. You control a single foot soldier on the side of the righteous Orange Star army, or the evil Black Hole army. As that soldier you can operate ground, air, and sea vehicles and turn the tide of battle, or you can become the commander and deploy vehicles, supplies, or call upon your CO's wide set of powers. The commander may be in control of the army, but the soldier is in control of his and his comrades fate. Use your unit's specialized weaponry, loosely based upon real world weapons, and capture strategic points on the map. There are always several different ways to accomplish victory be it in the field of battle or in the command room--will you choose correctly?

Another media release! This time we're showing off the basic infantry pistols of the two nations, the Black Hole Vampire and the Orange Star Enforcer, as well as their infantry transports, the Pandora and the Jaguar.
The pistols are both very different weapons. The Enforcer is pretty conventional, an accurate sidearm for any purposes, while the Vampire is an unusual weapon that draws it's ammunition straight from the bloodstream of it's users. Squishy!
Infantry transports play a fairly large part in Battlefield Advanced. With the extended blast radius of explosives and the power boost of weapons, a piece of mobile cover cannot be overestimated, and the ability to refuel and rearm vehicles of all kinds is a lifesaver to the low-ammunition or short ranged vehicles like rocket artillery, missile platforms, helicopters and the like.

There will not be Megatanks in this game. At some point the Black Hole will get Neotanks, but we have a unique interpretation of the vehicle I think you'll enjoy.
Being a huge Advance Wars fan, I'm looking forward to this. Hell, even if you get two out of the five armies incorporated in the mod, I'd still love it.
Your saying this is based on advanced wars right? Your not going to put the Mega Tank in it are you, or some vehicle based off it. I hated that so much in AWDS, just spoilt everything.
I'm sorry but this mod looks like garbage so far, the models for the tanks are not appetizing whatsoever, it looks like a "bottom of the barrel" mod, the tanks so far Scream WWII if anything, so how are you going to tell me thats "advanced". The models lack substance, they might just be at there early stages, but they lack substance. I hope you somehow amaze me with future updates, but as of right now this battlefield elementary.
