The total conversion modification Battlefield 1918 (or BF1918 for short) takes Battlefield 1942 into a whole new scenario, the first world war. Next to historically correct equipments and vehicles, we recreated the atmosphere of these WW1 battlefields as close as we can, keeping in mind the game we are working with. To achieve this, we have drastically changed the gameplay from the original game like so that you must now rely on teamwork, artillery, trenches and slow vehicles.
Battlefield 1918 combines fun with historical correctness, gaming with history, the memory of one of the most terrifying wars mankind has ever known, with fun had by people over the internet. Next to the battles fought on the Western front between mostly the Germans, the British and the French, wealso cover other scenarios, such as the Turkish battlefields at Gallipoli, the Eastern front where Germany and Austria-Hungaria fought against Russia, the Italian front and lately the battles in Africa. Next to land- and airbattles using historic weapons and vehicles, we are also planning on covering the naval aspect of WW1 in a broad spectrum, as this was the time in which the great battleships still were the absolute rulers of the seas.

Inside1918 is a small community still working on Battlefield 1918. We organize tournaments, events and LANs around the game and we are keeping the mod alive. At the moment, we are working on the Release 3.1, which will be Battlefield 1918 final. So check out www.inside1918.net (German) or En.inside1918.net (international edition) if you are interested.

While the Forgotten Honor Campaign (You can still sign-up there!) is still running very successfully and has reached half- time, the Battlefield 1918 Dev- Team was not idle. Today we present you some of the new stuff that will make its way in the upcoming version 3.1:
First of all you can see the light bomber Airco DH 4 that was used by British and American Forces during the great war. Created some years ago, our new Member Krätzer has made two very beuautiful Skins for both versions. In total, 1880 planes had been manufactured during the war. With it's speed of 170 kpH, german fighters had difficulties to follow this plane designed by Geoffrey de Havilland.
The Villar- Perosa M 1915 was the first Machinepistol of the World, named after the town it was built in. In the beginning not very successful in the defense, it was later used in attacks in the mountain war very effectively. Some soldiers experimented with mounting it on a harness carrier or to the handlebars of a bicycle (called Bersaglieri Ciclisti), but this was impractical.
On the other side, the Austrian Forces are equipped with the "Rohrgranate"
We show you also two cars: First, the Minerva is a belgian armoured vehicle. After the war in the western front went in the Trenches, some cars were shipped to Russia where they werde used against the Central Powers. In Battlefield 1918, you will find them in the plains of the Eastern Front.
BF 1918 goes Secret Weapons: The Mendelejews Tank was not really built, but the concept was so impressive that we decided to bring it to the mod- with its 170 tons, this tank is hard to take out and will be the Czar of the Battlefield.

When will be released 3.1, willbe this year, next or other. And also will you add Manlichers and some a little better Aus.-Hun uniforms? These are only 1916-1918
If the download directory says "Programme" try changing it to "Program Files". When I did this I could actually play v3.0.
