Battlefield 1918 is a total conversion modification for Battlefield 1942. The mod takes Battlefield 1942 into a whole new scenario, the first world war. Next to historically correct equipments and vehicles, we try to recreate the atmosphere of these WW1 battlefields as close as we can, keeping in mind the game we're working with. To achieve this, we've drastically changed the gameplay from the original game like so that you must now rely on teamwork, artillery, trenches and slow vehicles....

also, look very textureless, you've made a good effort with the bullet holes but it looks like a cardboard cutout, try adding somekind of thickness to it and maybe bumpmapping?
Yes they were and there were pictures of those soidiers who survived (the few that did) because of them, the armor had gaping holes in it.
This armor was not only made by the armament industry. The soldiers did them by themselves too. So I think our texture artist did a good work making it look like a cutout.

dont know if it is a good idea to include this, i mean, how many soldiers in the whole war did use this? i would rather include some backpacks, coats or bags that was used often in WWI
