No, as far as I know, the 1st Army didnt use french equipment, just Lend-Lease. What use would french pre 1940 equipment have in 44 anyway?
Rifles and Submachine guns would still work fine, and I would LOVE to see the MAS 38 in CoH.
I'm not here to offend, but your remark is a bit ignorant. France made some nice equipment like the FM-24/29 which they considered superior to the BAR and the mas-36 and 38 which saw some use during the war, mostly in Africa and Italy though. They were well designed weapons that proved capable. Anyway, it would be great if you could issue some weapons that would differentiate them as this is the only ww2 mod so far that represents the Free Frenchas as the other one died.

I dont use heroes in BotB.^^Of course I like adding historical persons, like Peiper or Abrams as Call-ins. But in this case, I prefer different looking Panthers for the Waffen SS, than Barkmanns being produced tank all the time.
... It would be great to call-ins PzV Barkmanns, since was a hero of the battle in Ardens...... his tank would have an active FG 1250 night-vision device installed for example... it is a good suggestion... I am greeting ( apologise for bad English)

I thought of adding scripted AI units to already finished maps.
E.g. having AI controlled Free French units in a forest camp. Them being controlled by the AI and hostile to both human and AI players.
