The Great War played a pivotal role in the history of Russia. Russian Empire entered the war with great goals and the largest army in the world and ended it in a catastrophe, downfall of the 300 year old monarchy and rise of the first communist country in the world, which was to influence the course of world history in the 20th century.
Russian losses in WW1 were terrible, numbering up to 8 mln. soldiers, out of them - 1.5 mln dead and 4 mln. wounded.
We dedicate Russian campaign to all the Russian soldiers, who gave their lives in the course of WW1 and whose sacrifice was forgotten.

Some info about the Russian campaign :

  1. 10 missions with an average length of 1 hour
  2. Spans from 1914 to 1916
  3. Includes such battles as :
  • East-Prussian offensive
  • Battle of Galicia
  • Battle of Warsaw
  • Battle of the Masurian lakes
  • Gorlice-Tarnow offensive
  • Brusilov offensive

Not to rush the already brilliant progress, but I suggest that the mod be released within the next month or I can almost guarantee that most of your fans will lose heart, and thus, will look at this project as dead. As an example, a mod group for Napoleon Total War has been attempting for the last year to bring about WWI mod for the game, however, lack of progress updates and an estimated release date has left the mod considered almost dead. I do not wish this mod to be reduced to that when it ,apparently, is so close to a release...

Rumors of our death are greatly exaggerated. So, we are still alive.
Work in progress. E.g. testing, voicing, adding some new models...

Damn, you guys could accelerate the process of release, no? This mod is great, and it is on the row since months ago, maybe years... It's time to pay attention to the fans. :)

Hey, nice to see another WW1 mod, I might even buy men of war for this.

One correction, I was reading the comments and you said landmines weren't used. That's not true, the Germans actually made a landmine, the flachmine 17 which was used on the Western front. Both the Germans and British improvised landmines. Germans used artillery shells for this, and the British toffee apple grenades. Those are anti-tank mines, on the Western front.

Anti-personal mines I sadly cannot find much on the internet. I've read that the Germans would protect their anti-tank mines from sappers with anti-personal mines, this would also be on the West front.

I've seen drawnings of fougasses, a primitive form of anti-personal mine, appearently used in WW1. I have no idea though when they were used and on which front they were used. The Great war 1918 mod has them for the British.

The Creator Sent me a reply similar to this, i asked if they could melee with bayonets and he said you would probably be mowed down by machine guns, but to me it looks like some units already have bayonets so i'm sure they might melee, its not that hard to make an animation for it.
