Dear friends! We have made it. Battle of Empires 1914-1918 has been Greenlit by the Community!
Battle of Empires on Steam Greenlight

Thanks to your support our game managed to pass the Greenlight in less than a month. During that period, our game was visited by 23,278 people and got 8,803 "yes" votes (57% of total 15,575 votes). It took just one week to reach top100 and two weeks to reach top10. The day before Steam has announced that our project was greenlit, we were on the 5th place out of all games!

Right now Best Way company is doing all the necessary paperwork to sing an agreement with Steam. And our team is making hard work to finish demo version and prepare the game for its release.

It is not Ok to keep this in the mod page, since people will have to pay for it from now on. Someone just might report you since this mod page now looks more like an advertisement for your game than a mod. I am not trying to be a scoundrel, but I suggest you don't be a scoundrel either, I just think this "game" does not belong here anymore...

Guys come on! Your anger replies don't change anything. Maybe lots of reasons about why mod is become a game, of course the biggest reason is a money. The separation of the game on 3 parts is mainly because a Steam and Best Way commissions, maybe devs want for their work not only +-20% from actual price .A 1C was developed and sell a some sort of mods so-called "games" for MoW, and you buying it, but when it comes to MoW mod, you say:"WTF?", quality of this mod maybe even higher in some aspects than in 1C games. This is business already and price is determined not only according to the will of developers now.
You need to understand developers and their goals, it is impossible to look at everything from the one point: "Those bastards want to cheat and steal from us!"
That's what I think.

It is not the fact that it 'costs so much' [sic], it is the fact that we, the public, need to pay for a 'game' that is in actual fact a mod. And the fact that it is still published on a mod website is even more deceiving.
There are plenty free mods which people have spent a long time on, but they released it free, because they care more about their 'community' than they do about money. It is not the amount of money, it is the principle. If they really loved what they were doing and cared not for the monetary reward they would reap from making this a game they would have kept it free for the public. To me (and many others I am sure) this is just a sell-out. And it saddens me to say that.

Developers will surely move this page to games sections after the game will be released. Moddb is not only about mods, my friend. As you propably know, many developers create pages of games that haven't beed released yet, and even for those that cannot be modded.
Principle is that a very low number of modders get a proposal for cooperation with the developers of the game they are modding. Another principle is there is a very low number of modders, who do refuse it.
Battle of Empires took a lot of time to be completed, propably a lot more than any other mod you are thinking of.
You obviously don't understand and don't want to understand that Battle of Empires is a great chance for volchonok and the rest of the team to have a smooth start in game developing companies, that I'm sure will look forward to cooperate with them.
And for that I'm going to pay for Battle of Empires. And I'll be happy to do that, when the game comes out.

I do not agree with your opinion, but I will defend your right to have one with my life, as I would do mine.
However the simple fact of the matter (of which you have plainly chosen to ignore), is that this so-called game is actually classed as a "Men of War mod ", this cannot possibly be true if it is in actual fact a game. And therefore it should be removed forthwith as a 'mod' and moved to the 'games' pages as not to allure those who are looking for genuine mods. This is not a matter of time spent on the mod, or what smooth starts it gives to whoever is in charge of this shambles, It is a matter of this 'game' being shown as a free mod when in actual fact it is a game that purchased by the user. That is misleading and, in my opinion, wrong.
Also can I pick up on something you have said, and I quote "Battle of Empires took a lot of time to be completed, [probably] a lot more than any other mod you are thinking of." How could you possibly know how much time is spent on this particular mod and why this particular mod would demand more time or effort than other mods? Surely this was meant in jest was it not?
Also this mod is not, nor ever has been actually 'completed' (as you have said it took a lot of time to do). So can I advice you think about what you are going say before you textualize as not to seem whimsical.
Good Day.

As for mod/game matter, I did wrote in my last post that Battle of Empires will propably be moved to games section. I agree it is now misleading. As I am not a member of the Battle of Empires team and I don't know anyone in this particular team personally, I believe the developers have no time for moving BoE to right place, as they are busy polishing it. I find it strongly possible, because I've been tracking this mod since I created an account here, on moddb, and never lack of updates was caused by anything else than lack of time, believe me, I read a lot on BoE page here and even in russian in cnews forum. Here comes the next matter you decided to discuss. I did now my homework and I want to point out that I've remember this mod since the day I made an account here, in 2009, and I strongly believe I know, how long does it take to make a total modification (which, in some cases, luckily, turns into fullgame). And I believe BoE is one of them.
Third matter, status of BoE is that almost everything is completed, and the developers are not adding anything new, but just testing it, or replacing with something better.
And yes, I do find BoE special, I love history of WWI and I find lack of games in this particular period of XX century warfare and XIX century tactics very sad. And I'd pay any price to see it.
I hope this comment clearly represents my statement.
