The Battle Grounds 2(BG2) is a Half-Life 2 multiplayer modification based on the revolutionary war. It is the sequel to the popular HL1 mod with even more features and possibilities. The British Army and its Native American tribal allies engage in battle against the United States Continental Army and local militia forces. Interactivity is a very important factor in this mod and team play is as important as ever before. Take aim and fire muskets, prepare bayonets and take control of the battlefield to succeed in your campaign for final victory. Combat will vary from long-range rifle marksmanship to brutal close quarters hand-to-hand melee fighting. You will need a mix of first person combat skills and quick-thinking strategy to survive. So prepare yourself to do battle for your side and to meet the enemy head-on. Only one side can be victorious.

The Developers and the Atlantic Battlegrounds Club are hoping to revive the Battle For the Colonies Concept this spring. The concept is simple: construct a grand campaign using a rough map of the 13 colonies and two designated "armies" of players. Each side will have soldiers, a commander, and will take turns attacking and defending territories on the campaign map. Individual battles are decided based on the outcome of matches played in the Battle Grounds 2.
We are actively recruiting people and clans to join the battle on either the British or American sides. To join, visit this link:

need help ich cant connect on servers i want to join but zhe map different and when i install the right map ... than the tables arent correct

Make sure you have the latest version, 2.1.1 and the server you are connecting to has the same version.
yeah i cant get the 2.1,1 from desura i download and i enter on server and tolds me that server class are other
If 2.1.1 isn't on desura then you will have to install it manually from outside of desura.

When i online i see no one playing. When is pass bedtime, i see many people playing. LOL GMT-8 here.
Also, I am lagging badly at 350 ping :/
Nice mod overall i like musket war.
I have checked my version and it is at 2.1.1 but I am still getting booted from servers for problems like Map version differs. What did I do wrong here?
Cro_net, some servers are still on bg2 2.1, that's probably the problem. It will take a few days for all servers to patch up, I guess. Check if the servers you are joining are actually 2.1.1 servers.
