I was kinda put off by the in-game battle of Stalingrad's tiny scale so I decided it was time to go big, or go home, this will be built off of real maps of the battle, using mainly assets that are already in-game, it will include at least 10 Cap points and (hopefully) support for 128 players, it will also include planes, unlike the original, even though they will have very limited use in the urban areas, they will be very useful above the large stretch of land around the city, which will also allow larger scale vehicle combat. I'm sorry to say, but sadly, this mod cannot be, the large world size in the map editor isn't large enough, and it requires too many objects to run with decent performance.

Advanced Map V1

As you can see mine is very similar , and has very few differences, now, about what everything means,
(Note: Nothing on this map is Final, and is subject to change) the red, and black lines, are the Russian, and German front lines Respectively,
the Blue lines, are airstrips, the smaller red and black X's are cap points, and the larger ones are unconquerable spawn-points,
the VD icon stands for Vehicle Depot, and will be used as vehicle spawn points, currently, the only vehicles that will spawn east of the Volga will be artillery,
the Airstrips are not there historically, but I added them to increase game-play diversity, and because there were planes involved in the battle from other airfields, and this was the only way to get planes without expanding the map to include several towns, villages, and maybe even another city, and i'm not ready for that yet.

Please leave your thoughts on what kinds of planes, and other vehicles I should add.

at first I will make the entire map using in-game assets, then I will flesh it out with custom assets, feel free to post any thoughts below, and thank you for participation!

за Сталинград! (No, I don't actually speak Russian.)

I'm disappointed you can't complete the project. However, I would like to suggest that you make the same map for Battlefield 2 and make it somehow compatible with FH2 mod. It is an excellent mod for BF2 based about WW2. Just an idea, and I don't know if it can be implemented.

I don't own BF2, so I can't really do that, plus I've moved to other projects, sorry to dissapoint.

Glad to see someone interested, but the main goal of this mod was to make a giant scale map, and making a bunch of small maps would defeat that purpose, plus most of the maps would be pretty boring, and have very little in them, because they're the areas in-between the lines. and sadly, we cancelled this mod, but if anyone wants to try to make it, you will need a hacked map editor that removes the size limit, and some sort of supercomputer to run it, I give anyone permission to use my modified map, and if you do, notify me, because i'm really interested in historical games/mods.

You could always sacrifice a lot of those objects to fit performance/ map size issues.
