Barney's Tales is a total conversion of the original Half-Life Blue Shift add-on. Source Engine, used in mod, will allow us to visit the world of the scary Black Mesa Research Facility once more. Security officer Barney Calhoun, undecided major, was going on his first shift in a research facility. He put on his uniform, got his Glock-18 in the armory and set out for the Sector 3. Suddenly, Barney felt an explosion and the lift he was going by fell down. Next thing he saw when consciousness returned was a strange alien creature tearing a scientist. With the personnel and security officers at his side Barney must escape the Black Mesa before it becomes a blazing crater...

Greetings. Well, a month passed, so we have something new to share with.
Firstly, I would ike to notice that the official site of Barney's Tales is up at last. Our first web-designer had suddenly dissapeared, so we had to create it ourselves. This is not Macromedia Flash merical I was talking about, but also not bad, huh? :) Unfortunately it is in Russian, but I am sure, you would need only two links: the media gallery and the forum. I would be very pleased to see you there.
So, the most delicious - concept-arts. Let me bring to your attention the new version of the Black mesa Research Facility Guards. This is not the final version, but many things would be brought to an in-game NPC-model. Also, let me introduce thematic dektop wallpaper and a cocept-art from project mapper, bma2004.
Oh, if you have not alredy seen the updated version of M4 Assault Rifle model - you can see it in the gallery
That's all for now. Good luck, comrades! ;)

Blue Shift Remake on Source was too complex and long :)
Things need finishing off in places, but so far its a good start for such a young mod. Keep at it, I look forward to seeing more soon!
