Barney's Tales is a total conversion of the original Half-Life Blue Shift add-on. Source Engine, used in mod, will allow us to visit the world of the scary Black Mesa Research Facility once more. Security officer Barney Calhoun, undecided major, was going on his first shift in a research facility. He put on his uniform, got his Glock-18 in the armory and set out for the Sector 3. Suddenly, Barney felt an explosion and the lift he was going by fell down. Next thing he saw when consciousness returned was a strange alien creature tearing a scientist. With the personnel and security officers at his side Barney must escape the Black Mesa before it becomes a blazing crater...

would look better with the new hl2 textures of cliffs, this isnt a true representation of the origanal, but still pretty good to look at!

I'm not going to make any accusations here because I personally don't really care. If the mod is good I'll play it and not worry about it, if it sucks I won't play it and won't worry about it.
I'm just wondering how you go from that HL1 shot in the upper right hand corner to the Source shot, where it bears literally no resemblance, yet has countless similarities to the well known BM:S Inbound screenshots.

Looks nice. Pretty much like Black Mesa Source, its good that both mods look same, giving Black Mesa same feel in different mods
Bad thing though is that it isnt much similar to BS one.
It looks good, remember guys, its a sourcified remake of the original, not a copy. It looks better this way than the original rocky one. Looks more appropriate

And knock it off with the whole rip off bullshit! It´s the Black Mesa Research Facility so I guess that they hafta bare some similarities? Barney´s looks too sweet. Can´t wait til BM, BT and hopefully a new OP4 come out. :)
