BANZAI! is a modification for the game Unreal Tournament 2004.
It aims to be a simple, fun and easy to play game while bringing back the good old fashioned ’side-scroller’ gameplay. Inspired by many different side-scrolling games of old such as Castlevania, Contra, Ninja Gaiden, and Megaman, BANZAI! is a hail back to the old glorious days of 8-bit and 16-bit gaming.
This however does not mean we are limiting the game to the "old school" looks. Our team works hard at creating something that's not only fun to play but also pleasing to the eye.
If you like sidescroller platform games, anime-ish looks (and perhaps even a few puzzle elements ;) )
Then this mod might be something to try out.

We're facing doom!
Our lead (also mapper) disappear without contact, and now our team lost a great mapper for Banzai!
This condition just repeating back our last bad history; THE CURSE OF BANZAI! (disappearance of leader)
So we open up a new recruitment for the one(or more) who're interest on developing Banzai!
UT2004 MAPPER is NEEDED! PRIORITY!
We still focusing on releasing a demo, but with this agenda happen, its give us bad luck this time... we need a new mapper to change our status! the real capable one! who can works for singleplayer map, knowledge in map scripting and such for ut2004~ We're begging on you!

wow, im not really a fan of anime but this mod looks pretty bad ass. i love the first person animations and the third person effects look amazing well done too.
im glad you like it. The finished Mod will not be 1st person nor 3rd person. as Banzai is a side scrolling Mod, like the olden days, only full beautiful 3D
so why the first person hand/weapon animations?
cant wait to give it a play though. (if it will work on my mac :P )
When can we Beta test this soon to be masterpiece out.
Beta might be a little ways off still, tho we are hopfull, depending on how things go.
I cant give a date because we are all busy people, however we have all the positions filled now, apart from Sound techs and Voice actors, however thats all sketchy at best.
