BANZAI! is a modification for the game Unreal Tournament 2004.
It aims to be a simple, fun and easy to play game while bringing back the good old fashioned ’side-scroller’ gameplay. Inspired by many different side-scrolling games of old such as Castlevania, Contra, Ninja Gaiden, and Megaman, BANZAI! is a hail back to the old glorious days of 8-bit and 16-bit gaming.
This however does not mean we are limiting the game to the "old school" looks. Our team works hard at creating something that's not only fun to play but also pleasing to the eye.
If you like sidescroller platform games, anime-ish looks (and perhaps even a few puzzle elements ;) )
Then this mod might be something to try out.

This section is still empty for now so I'll use it to post some info on what the delay is about.
Banzai is currently undergoing a total overhaul from the base off.
Besides the maps that are undergoing a face lift (By yours truly)
the script is being redone from scratch. For instance. The player will now
be able to control up to three characters at the same time
all of which have their own weapons, stats and abilities.
Another feature that is being added is "Wall vaulting" Something you might
know if you played Megaman X or Ninja Gaiden.
Basically it allows you to jump once more after every Wall dodge allowing
you to get higher than before.
Expect the next update to include some new screen shots and perhaps
even a short gameplay trailer :)
