Ballistic Weapons replaces UT2004's wepaons with a batch of new, realistic, high quality weapons using an enhanced weapons sytem with reloading, aiming, firemodes, improved damage behaviour and much more to give the game a more tactical style. All the items have also been replaced and the mod uses totally original sounds and effects. The entire mod is implemented through a mutator so it is compatible with all gametypes and many different mods. It also comes with a melee mutator to play using only the melee weapons. Decent bot support has been included, allowing the bots to use all the new weapons. The mod has also been designed to be very mod friendly so as to serve as a base for other mods allowing most features and systems to be implemented using just the default properties of new weapons. A manual is included with the mod as well.

[This file is outdated - Version 9 content is included and updated within Version 10's Weapon Drop 1.] A zipped up patch for Version 9. Contains various fixes and improvements brought up by the community!


Version 9.2 Changelog:

- Bulldog accuracy settings changed. (Accuracy improved, follows users settings better.)
- Bulldog runspeed reduced. (It's a really heavy gun.)
- Bulldog netcode modifiers optimized.
- Bulldog sometimes not cocking after firing online fixed.
- LS14 rocket reloads now work online.
- LS14 mismatched tips fixed.
- CYLO shogun ammo now feeds the CYLO.
- MR-DR88 ammo no longer pounded into the floor.
- SKAS-21 pickup no longer tiny.
- HMC-117's splash damage range and damage increased.
- HMC team code optimized.
- Bots now use HMC 25% blast at range.
- Coach Gun's range massively increased.
- Coach Gun's spread halved.
- Coach Gun's damage increased. (Coach gun is quite good at range!)
- Coach Gun + Sawn Off no longer move around when jumping.
- A49 pitch issues when dual wielded. (No pitch change ever.)
- A49, MRDR dual wielding upside down bug squashed.
- Sawn Off 3rd-person's huge muzzle flash reduced.
- SRS M2 recoil adjustments. (More kick default, camo variants have less chaos or less recoil)
- A49 sound volume fixed.
- LS440M pullout/putaway sound pitch set to 1.
- MRDR88 Deathmessage fixed.
- Doom fists 'swap rank' reduced to 1. (They'll still show up first when the mutator is used though.)
-Sawn Off impact effects fixed online.
-Dragons Tooth teamskins fixed online.
-Added the instagib rifle as a mutator option.
-LS440M is now 'Instagib Rifle' instead of 'Enhanced Shock Rifle'.

Hi there, I am new to this kind of thing, you know, giving feedback and all that but there seems to be a problem with your latest BW version on my ut2004. It keeps crashing UT to the point of returning to my home screen.
I had the same crashes before BW but not as regularly as now. I haven't yet copied a crash but I will surely do that in the near future, I hope someone can help me as I really love this mod to the point that I find the stock weapons really boring. Thanks alot.

It may be the Instagib Rifle now, but I'll always see it as the "Hellgun" from the Imperial armory in Warhammer 40k. Does it still have that gigantic power pack, or was it removed? While I didn't really like the big spikes sticking out the back, I think a gun that powerful having a pack does make a lot of sense.
