missions that involve running errands for people or something like that

you maybe could have to get a job in 1955? and work for one of the shops in hill valley

or help the band set up for the dance?

its easy to come up with filler missions because if you stick to only what happened in the movie this game will be way too fast

Aug 14 2007, 8:04pm Anchor

your right but why not just stick to the movie but play as other people. Like drive the manure truck to a delivery but be rear ended u know. plays other people while the main story is happening

Aug 14 2007, 8:56pm Anchor

Eh, maybe for optional side missions, but not as something incredibly relevant to the story line. I think the only two, "true" playable characters should be Marty and Doc, for obvious reasons.

Aug 14 2007, 9:05pm Anchor

The mods have strictly confirmed that only Marty will be a playable character, and the story will be told strictly from Marty's point of view only. Unless they've changed their minds by now.

Aug 15 2007, 12:04am Anchor

well in the 1955 one, Marty wouldn't have got a job because doc told him not to talk to anyone or anything like that, unless you were meaning doc, which does kinda make sense, as he might need to get a job to buy stuff or he might just need to get some stuff to fix the delorean...

Aug 15 2007, 12:16am Anchor

doc, had a job. "24hr. Scientific services".

Aug 15 2007, 12:23am Anchor

that was in 1985. not necessarily 1955

Aug 15 2007, 12:38am Anchor

True, but one would asume that he did. hense all the non-working invensions in the garge. lol

Aug 15 2007, 12:42am Anchor

he probably wouldnt have needed a job in 1955. he was rich

Aug 15 2007, 12:47am Anchor

True, but his riches were family inheritance, and I'm not speaking for all, but most rich people have little ambition. Especially when the money was given to them. He must have had a driving force to succeed from somewhere or something. and wanted people to see his invensions, example: pully marty into the garge to test the mind reading apperatice.

Aug 15 2007, 1:01am Anchor

actually he pulled him into the house. he later ran down to the garage

Aug 15 2007, 1:04am Anchor

that really isn't relevant, regardless this is all speculation.

Aug 15 2007, 11:18am Anchor

So is it confirmed that Marty would be the only character then?

That cuts back on a lot of mission possibilities.

Aug 15 2007, 11:48am Anchor

Some were looking at the possibility of ripping of the plutonium as doc.

Aug 15 2007, 11:39pm Anchor

yeah, theres a POSSIBILITY that it will have a prologue as doc. other than that, strictly marty's perspective

Aug 16 2007, 10:04am Anchor

...kitt you forgot the time train...only Doc knows how to repair it and how to turn on the "steam" circuits!

Aug 17 2007, 12:01am Anchor

only doc knew how to use the delorean at one stage. marty learned pretty quick

Aug 17 2007, 2:38am Anchor

The first time was an accident I'd say. In 1955 they just reran the tape.

Aug 17 2007, 8:49am Anchor

The first time Marty didn't even know what the delorean had been converted to. When he realized that he was 30 years back in time, he learned quickly how to set the destination time...but not thinking 4thdimensionally...

Aug 17 2007, 9:35am Anchor

of course he knew. "YOU BUILT A TIME MACHINE,(breathes heavily) OUT OF A DELOREAN?"

Aug 17 2007, 10:40am Anchor

Yes, but he still didn't believe to his eyes and didn't know how it worked until he travelled for the first time

Aug 17 2007, 11:00am Anchor

much like my quote kitt

Aug 17 2007, 11:04am Anchor

As Marty said, Doc is the only one who knows how the time machine "works", but Marty does know how to work it because Doc explained it to him. There's not much to know. Marty already knew how to drive a car all Doc had to explain is that you input the destination time on the keypad, and accelerate to 88 mph.

But isn't this getting a little off-topic? The Time Train is Doc's time machine true, but it works the same way as the DeLorean, and the player would realise that.

Aug 17 2007, 12:05pm Anchor

i agree with chaossorcerer91 ir wouldnt be too hard

Aug 17 2007, 12:09pm Anchor

Not exactly. Steam-machine's time circuit was mechanic, which is why it couldn't make that "Ptueow" sound. And the dial up was mechanic too, that's why I think it couldn't be beeping. Otherwise it IS a time machine, which probably has the hover switches like in the Delorean dash. By the way, they never showed that.
