Different Years Thread - Back to the Future: Hill Valley mod for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City

I was wondering if it will be possible to change the years seperately in the next mod, restricted, of course to say, 5 years either way of the story-line years, as in, go to 2010 say...

I have been to 2016 by travelling to [ DEC 31 2015 11:59PM ] and seen my "Present Time" as 2016, just curious...

do you mean for example if we go to 2015, we would be able to go from 2010 to 2020? and if we go to 1955 it would be 1950 to 1960? without any period changes within those years?

no, because then people would be expecting changes every year which is impossible to do.

What if someone waits for years, to see the changes? I'm just asking, I don't mean if someone does.

and what i meant above was that 2010 and 2020 there would be no changes at all, it would be the same as 2015? same for 1950 and 1960, 1880 and 1890 etc...
that's what it is in real life, every 10years there are changes but no changes at all within those 10years
just an idea. it would give the feelling that there are more choices of years.

Would it just be possible to change years but not change anything, so we could have more options? I'm fine with way it is now. I just want to know is it possible just to display the years so we could use our own imaginations.

Yeah thats the sort of thing I meant, cuz it is possible on the time circuits to show different years, as I have found from travelling to the last minute of whatever year.

yeh, maybe we could have you can go to a custom year (everyone wants to go to their birthday..) until the maps come out then you can change it back to this, but during beta versions it would be quite fun to do. (i know this shud be requests and ideas section but just continuing on the topic here)
