yep. Well, we don't know till we get answers.

Here's how the animation looks like. I like the stance, a lot more accurate. However, the animations of going to and from each stance needs work...and needs to be actually be done, instead of suddenly jumping around like that. And there's no stance for just standing there on the skateboard, like having one foot down. We might be better off making our own.

However, it is LOADS better than what we have right now, so we might see about temporarily using it.....

awesome, not perfect, but AWESOME! :P

There is a skatepark in the mod, good way to test some animations :p

Jun 27 2007, 3:12am Anchor

I copied the gta folder and tested the skate. Ya know, looks better than sitting on it.

Jun 27 2007, 4:49am Anchor

Are you also able to switch stances with the skateboard, like having for one instance, your left leg on the front of the board and then you can switch the stance so the right leg will be on the front of the board? Is that possible?

Jun 27 2007, 5:26am Anchor

nope. One stance only.

Well, been thinking, and this particular animation will not be included in the mod. If you want it, just download it off of there, but since we're working on our own animations, it's kinda pointless to ask permission and not use it. KITT's friend is going to be working on this. Since he animates for a living, it will look good. Just gotta read on how to add animations, and we're all set.

WHo are interested anyhow: Youtube.com

You might want to add that to install, extract directly to some folder with no subfolders checked, i.e. no files in a folder that has a russian name.

Jun 27 2007, 1:51pm Anchor

OK, I can make it. Just have to learn how to use install script.

Jun 27 2007, 2:20pm Anchor

you need to get their permission first and I will tell you, it will not be part of the bttf mod. We got our own animations to make.

Jun 27 2007, 3:09pm Anchor

that animation looks incredible. will it be the same for the hoverboard?

Jun 27 2007, 3:24pm Anchor

If you replace the skate with hover, then yes. Del, I'll contact the creator as soon as I can, hope you figured out everything yourself.

Jun 27 2007, 4:32pm Anchor

no, you're not getting me. We're not using any part of that person's mod. I'm saying, if you want to use it, download it from him. You will not get it in any bttf install or this site. The reason is because, as good as there mod is, it is not good enough, especially when it has no new animations, but new stances, and since we have k's skateboard being made.

The biggest reason....we're making our own animation stuff and it's stupid to ask permission only for a beta and then never use it again.

Speaking of which, if you are asking permission, you are in no way to reference the bttf mod at all.

No, you will not see this animation mod in any future release. Yes, we are making our own that actually has animations.

For crying out loud -_- I have found a dance mod on the same site, the mod just lets you control the dancing and has nothing to do with any new animation.

Jun 28 2007, 8:51am Anchor

No, actually it does, but I mean you may replace the animations.

Jun 28 2007, 8:56am Anchor

and we like to make our own. Is that a problem?

Jul 1 2007, 3:29am Anchor

ok, dale (my sis' bf) wants to know if ya want any special moves. i dont know how the controls would work either so if delorean cant program it in or whatever (though it was done in the other mod so it obviously can be done) ill just get him to make the basics

Jul 1 2007, 7:02am Anchor

I think the scateboard should stop like: Stop, marty steps on it and catches it.

Jul 1 2007, 7:39am Anchor

considering its a vehicle that could be difficult

Jul 1 2007, 1:08pm Anchor

Flipping the vehicle is impossible. Animations only apply to Tommy.
As for the animations, what each specific one does is hardcoded. There is nothing in the code to support it. So, just do entering (sides and from front), wheelie, stoppie, moving, stopped, and backwards animations.

I put the ped.ifp in the anim folder and it didnt make any difference, just for now, i just wanted the stance to be stood up like show in the video, as opposeed to the squatting style. What can i do just to achieve that?

Aug 2 2007, 8:13pm Anchor

take the bikev.ifp and replace it with the one in your gta3.img file to make him stand right

Aug 2 2007, 8:32pm Anchor

ok thanks, but i cant find the bike.ifp in the russian zip folder or in rockstar games?
and just to make sure, youre saying put the ped.ifp in the anim folder in rockstar games from the russian zip folder
