Back to the Future: Hill Valley is a full conversion mod for Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Back to the Future: Hill Valley will be based on the Back to the Future Trilogy, allowing the player to re-enact all the great moments from the films. While some parts of the story are stretched to make it more enjoyable, we are determined not to stray too far from the original story-line. its not yellow its red-orange

besides, were sticking mostly to the first movie. so no yellow, orange or whatever other colour you might think of

Dash could be damaged while converting it to flying DeLorean. Does that really matter?

Like I said, Vice City can't detect pitch or roll, only direction. Another flaw is that it can only detect and set forward speed. It cannot even distinguish from backwards, up, down, left, or right speeds. Just forward. Unless we move to another game with that capability, it's impossible.

And we're mainly going off of bttf1, so we're sticking with red.

hello, first of all i'd like to say, well done on already making such a fun mod at such an early stage, great fun to be able to drive the time machine in my eprsonal version of grand theft auto, but as this thread is for suggestions for the new version, i'd like to say of my suggestions:

1. Time Circuits
Now already its a good feature, but i'd like to see a different way of turning them on and configuring them, i dont like how i'd like to turn them off and on with the set buttons at the moment, i'd like to see them mapped differently isntead of me trying to remember which buttons they are and accidentally turning on hover mode or setting a different date :P
i'd like to have more easy control in inputting the time circuits, such as using the number keypad to input your destination, for example:
you type in 11 then enter, then 05, enter, then either 1985, 2015, 1955, enter, then inputting the time, like 09, enter, 31, and instead of toggling pm or am, type the hour date in a 24 hour clock style, so if you press 21, it'd be set to 9 pm.
So from my example the date will be 5th november, 1955 at 09:31 am

2. Wanted level
instead of having cops, FBI, whatever at 5 stars, y not change it to Biff's cars, different colours which chase the player instead of fbi cars? and the fbi models could be modeled to biff and his gang in later versions, would it be not too difficult to just swap the fbi cars for Biff's car in a variety of colours? maybe add a few libyans and their vans as well as biff's?

3. Fuel
i don't really see the point of this, it barely goes down after i've been playing for an hour, so for a game i tihnk it should be ale to run out a bit quicker

4. Hover Mode
Just sumthing i thought would be random, but to remove the limit of how high the delorean can go when it hovers? A bit pointless i know but then again 'fuel' is in the early version already..;p

5. Damage
I'd like for the delorean to be damaged, i know it explodes if the rocket launcher or a tank collides with it, but apart from that it seems indestructible, so could the damage be a bit more common sense? it did get destroyed by a train at the end of part 3 :P

So thats the suggestions i can think of at the mo, i'd like 1 to be thought of primarily, as i think it'd be more fun imputting your destination on the number keypad

1. I'm limited to only 17 buttons to work with (damn vice city code). But then, i can't map to gas, left, right, brake, handbrake, enter/exit, look left, look right, radio, camera, lean up/down (flying),or horn, and then two buttons are foot only controls, so that limits me to 3 buttons, which are turret left/right, submission, and shoot.

2. Because we kinda need it for 55 cops, 85 cops, and 2015 cops. They are cops. I doubt Biff would care if you ran over an innocent pedestrian.

3. Because people asked for it. I should lower it to like an hour of fuel when you use the gas constantly

4. i have no idea how high you go before you crash, so I stayed on the safe side.

5. You forgot bullets and fire. I would do collision damage, but then time travelling would be weird with a beat up delorean that will come back with it's occupants frozen.

The big draw of the fuel feature is that you can use it to get yourself stranded in time. Especially 1885, once thats added to the mod. It should add an extra challenge to traveling around time.

it would be kinda cool to change the color of the "blue wormhole" in front of the bttf3 delorean when time traveling into red and change the "explosions" into red too. but only for the bttf3 delorean? would it be possible?

yeh is there anyway the coils can be made into leather like the film, and for the sparks to be different in anyway?

can't change color ingame. And coils can't be changed shapewise or glow. Sparks stay the way they are because it's shared with cars.
