About Back to Hellfire: This is a modification for Diablo II Lord of Destruction 1.10. It focuses on re-creating the feel and the atmosphere of Diablo and it's expansion Hellfire while keeping some features from the sequel. Those are features that improve the gameplay in my opinion - arrows, boss graphics, mercenaries to name a few. Don't expect to get a full re-creation of Diablo and Hellfire in the mod - it's very different yet still close to them. After all, if Back to Hellfire was exactly Diablo: Hellfire, what would be the point in it? Back to Hellfire has a different storyline to suit the bigger level environment scattered in the five acts. For example, you will find the Nest in the town of Lut Gholein, and not in Tristram. I can't limit Back to Hellfire to one act. Even if I could, I wouldn't do it, I love variation. MAJOR CHANGES

  • One new sidequest available - Chamber of Bone
  • Monster heal removed
  • Monster attack rating globally decreased
  • Completely reworked bow class items
  • Completely reworked claw class items
  • 31 new unique items added
  • New skill icons for all 5 characters (thanks to AdiTT)
  • 2 missing runewords added - GAGE and TIRADE
  • Monsters shifted between Act 2 and Act 3 - Lashworms and their kin are now spawned in Act 3, a lower grade of Liches were added to Act 2

MINOR CHANGES

  • Disabled the test recipe that was left in accidentally
  • Fixed the unusually high block rate of the Black Knights in the Worldstone Keep levels
  • Reduces poison damage for Felltwins and their kin
  • Removed -Durability affixes from bow class items
  • Increased clickable area for Liches, Lightning Demons and Goat Archers
  • Bats won't spawn as Physical Immune on Hell difficulty
  • Orbs are now available in Gamble
  • Adjusted the Armor Class affixes to their Diablo originals
  • Reduced Baal HP to 60%
  • Reduced Archbishop Lazarus HP to 60%
  • Increased King Leoric HP on Nightmare and Hell difficulties
  • Shredded and their kin won't stack anymore

  • Venom now properly turns any weapon in use green

  • Hell difficulty will spawn less champions and bosses
  • Entries in Catacombs and Nest will now show on the automap
  • Pepin now buys items for up to 5000 instead of 10000
  • Fixed a bug that made Grimspike invisible in Direct3D mode
  • Diablo 2 potions disabled
  • Adria will reward a rare ring for rescuing Cain
  • The stand will drop a book when the Lazarus Staff is destroyed
  • Qual-Kehk's runeword reward changed - he now drops Ge, Ne and Ral runes
  • Mages in Act 5 are now properly colored - Magistrates are red, Counselors are gray, Cabalists are golden and Advocates are black
  • Removed the window from Breakspine's room in Act 2 Jail
  • Adjusted levels of belts
  • Many alterations to various affixes
  • Alterations made to various strings
