This mod aims to bring strategic combat to the Babylon 5 universe.

We'll start off with the Earth Alliance vs. the Minbari and go from there once we have those two complete factions.

The mod is being developed using a SVN repository. We have made this repository open to the public so you can download and experiment with the mod while its being developed. Instructions for downloading can be found in our files section.

Hey guys! I'm back, as always watching the show makes me want to re-create it. :) Right now I'm working on rebuilding the mod around the original build order/research Tree in order to improve the AI, I'm also using the original harvesting machanic as I know a lot of people wanted it available.

The Capture gametype will be re-added too, I've been working on an updated version that works around the current resourcing AI so the computer should capture and defend/attack points better.

At the moment my working copy of the mod is pretty messed up, I've been focusing on getting all the ships moved over and I've not bothered keeping things pretty or balanced. I really could use some help. Nothing complicated, just simple text editing, moving/renaming files. The weapons values need tweaking, descriptions coped to the diffrent files, that sort of thing. Easy, but kinda time consuming. All on the SVN so easy to edit/upload.

If you're interested in helping shoot me a pm or just post in the comments and I'll get back to you asap.

Once the mod is back together I'll be releasing it on Steam for Classic HW2 as well as modDb and then it'll be on to the Remaster. :) For you Centauri/Narn lovers I'll be adding them to both versions of the mod since I know a few people aren't interested in spending money on the Remaster.

Lots to do, so many ideas, so little time. :)

you guys getting excited about gearbox buying the rights to homeworld? I would be. IF they do their jobs right we could not only see an HD remake (quality not assured) but an entire new spark for the homeworld universe! I'd also love to see where the mods for the HD version will go. Hopefully they'll provide full support and maybe steam workshop for ease of use.

I wouldn't say abandoned, but as this modification is made by only a few people on a voluntary basis, motivation and inspiration can come and go sporadically, leading to sometimes long periods of inactivity.

I myself haven't really kept up with the mod lately, but as you can see, I still take a look back from time to time.

As for the others, I haven't heard from them since July. Guess I have to be patient as well as you.

Definatly. The mod is finally in a stable partly balanced state. I've been meaning to create a v1.0 download, hopefully with an installer and launcher so it's easier to install and play. The only thing stopping me is a lack of time. :)

very easy to do it yourself. Open the file date \ skripts \ startingfleets. Open notepad files minbari.lua and earth. Lua kottontender changes the base of the Earth's Orion and Morshin on Minbari base. The names of the ships to copy the folder "Ships"

Thank you. But I still cant make it work. I had two file Earth00.LUA and Earth00Testing.lua. Which one I should open. In first there are two types of ship (Black omega and Cotton Tender) What should I add to Cotton?

copy this configuration to replace the initial Earth00.LUA. I just replaced EAR_kottontender on EAR_OrionStation. Similarly, make and minbari00.lua. Testing mode just adds to the start of more ships and more resources.

Hmmm, not really. Non of the ships can gather resources. At present the mod is built around the Capture gametype. In the future I intend to have a Gathering gametype where you have to gather resources like in the original death match.

I've also got plans for Shadow War and Hyperspace War gametypes.
