Chinese Mod? What is that mod? Sounds interesting that a mod for this game gave China nuke missiles.

Especially since they didn't have nuclear missiles until the 1960s...

there's a link for it over in the Gizmotron User-Mod discussion. the Communist Chinese were given a lot of things that they didn't really have until well after WW2 was over. the ability to deploy nuclear weapons from aircraft, ballistic nuclear missles, IS2/3 Heavy Tanks, T-34s. the Communist faction could just as well have been called a "Korean War Mod" if they had simply changed their aircraft to reflect the period!

The discussion? Mean the comments right? How far in would it be?

Actually, while I'm on the subject, someone brought up a new building, research, and weapon for the main 5 factions. The Weapons research Center, which would research the 5000 FAB bomb for Russia(Kinda like a tallboy, but more of a fuel air bomb), the Tall-Boy for Britain, the V3 Super-gun with Zychlon B chemical weapons canister's for Germany, the Bacteriological weapons bomb for Japan, and, of course, the Atomic Bomb for America. The 3 allied weapons would be delivered by their respective bomber's, except the American bomb, which could probably just be a silver skin version of the B-17, to look like the B-29. The Japanese would be delivered by either Artillery or its bomber aircraft, and the Virus could spread through enemy regiments that come in contact for 2 minutes, and the weapon require about 8-12 minutes to reload. The German gun would probably just be researched so your engineering unit could build a structure with the DORA railgun skin to fire the shells. Just an Idea, but a friend brought it up, and the idea is that the research would cost a lot, like about 20'000 coins, and the weapons use could cost about 5000 each shot, and take a few minutes before you can use it again, at another cost of 5000 coins.

we did get a railway gun model from the Civ-modder community. I have yet to integrate it into the game. don't know if I can make each shot cost money -- but I could give it a long recharge time.

the Japanese have a chemical weapons artillery tank-- but I won't rule out the possibility of giving them bombers with bio-chem weapons. particularly since I was planning on giving that to the Italians.

For this, I think I gave the Italians bombers this chemical ability. The chemical damage acts like flame damages and causes damage over time.

pretty sure this is the link. but it can be found on the first page of discussion for the Gizmotron mod-- you won't have to wade through all 61 comments to find it. it should be about halfway down the first page.

Where does that missile come from? I mean is that a new model or was it used elsewhere? I think it looks pretty neat.

don't know, to be honest. I spent the better part of an hour trying to get the V1 rocket to show up instead-- but finally decided this was good enough. it came from the larger of the two Chinese A&A mods mentioned on the Gizmotron User-Mod discussion.

You know, it would make a nice torpedo.

to answer WoodlandSniper's main thought-- I've had a building on the books for about a year called the "Arsenal HQ" which was originally intended to let players deploy bunkers with trucks to remote locations. but over time it has gradually evolved into the recruitment place for things like super-tanks, V-weapon launchers, and jet airfields. for smaller nations with less tech it will allow them to use trucks to deploy bunkers w/o recruiting engineers. for the larger nations it will provide "super-weapons" and advanced tech I didn't have room for in the regular tents.

Sweet. Can't wait to see this mod. Glad to see a revival of A&A.

Description

this was originally used as a tactical nuclear missile bunker in the Chinese mod. Communist China could deploy these as a means of launching nuclear projectiles at their enemies. I opted to change the animations to reflect the V2 and converted them to German use. here we see the projectile sailing down towards enemy units
