I might try to change these later-- but these are going to be the standard Australian P-51 and P-38 skins for now.
(yes, I know the invasion stripes shouldn't be used in the Pacific, but to correct that properly takes some time, and I just don't have that time right now)
the Aussies stopped using the standard British roundel after one of their Catalina's got shot down by an American pilot! so it makes sense to use different unit skins for historical accuracy and variety.
Why the p-38? Wouldn't the Beaufighter be more fitting for the Australian Heavy Fighter after all, the Beauforts and Beaufighters were primarily used by the RAAF.
well, this is only two of a variety of aircraft they'll be using. there will be more options than this.
we don't have a decent Bristol Beaufighter model right now. it's something we would have to create based on an existing one.
What about Danrells Units? I remember you guys used models from him at first, he has a Beaufighter. Forums.civfanatics.com
that works. I forgot about that. thanks for the reminder.
I don't know if GBR has enough airfield spots left to cram that in there-- but I could definitely add them to Australia and Canada.
technically I think the Aussies only used the P-38 for high speed recon flights-- but they do have historical precedent.
now that it's clear I can't make an upload by the end of September (swamped with work) I'll make some more revisions to the AUS and CAN aircraft line-ups.
Perhaps the Beaufighter could be a Special Op unit for Great Britain?
