Awakening the Apocalypse is a work in progress zombie mod based around the Team Fortress 2 engine, It will contain the cartoon looking shaders of Team Fortress 2, as well as overly exaggerated gore for the purpose of fun. With an extensive leveling system the player can choose from 5 branches; Intelligence, Agility, Strength, Endurance and Perception, from there the player will level up and expand their character's abilities across the branches until they reach the top level, at which they will be able to use a special ability in the game, However these abilities are limited per match based upon the admin's preference, but you will be only able to choose one special, unless you go back in the leveling process, and you can switch between branches at any point. there are many planned game modes including an extinction mode in which the aim is to kill off the other team, and a pit mode in which the aim is to collect as many enemy bodies as possible.

Pit Mode -
Pit mode will feature a team based point scoring system, when you kill an enemy the aim is to take the body back to your pit, the zombies will have a feeding pit where they can go down and eat the gibs of the human to regain health, where as the humans will have a decontamination pit, to incinerate the bodies.Extinction Mode -
Pretty simple, kill off the other team, there will of course be a shorter time limit in this game mode, but limited respawns.Hunt Mode -
The human team is placed into a large map without any ranged combat weapons, from there, what they do it up to them, do they barricade themselves in a small shack, do they hide out in the woods, or do they just stand and fight? this mode is more for the horror fans, in which the humans are actually being hunted by zombies, great mode for perception zombies to use their scent to smell out the humans.Slaughter Mode -
For all you deathmatch and free for all fans, place all the players into random parts of a map full of traps, spawn them with the biggest weapons that are available, set time limit with infinite respawns, player with the most points at the end of the round wins.

You aready know this id just like you guys to have a nice gander at it again keep a look out for my Knife model.

Last time I checked modifications for tf2 to third party is illegal server sided mods and map sided mods are not. but last time I checked was in 2006 right when it was in beta.

All you people realise that TF2 has no proper SDK and only a map editor, right?

They are: zf_
Like zf_asylum or zf_dustbowl, etc.
They can be pretty fun and annoying at the same time :)

not really since every rpg has had that same format for the most part (fallout 1 and 2 did much longer then 3 (3 is not even made by the same people) also many other rpg's have that same idea just different names. Deiblo is a good example of that.
