A slightly sad message for you today - Avalon has stopped production until the release of UT3. Without giving you a full blown post mortem, we have had a few troubles with team morale and organisation over the past few months, which has led me to step down as project manager.
The good news is that it's not over - the team leads will be putting their heads together and hashing out a much more fun, focused game. Once we have a clearer picture of the game both in art and words, we feel production will run alot smoother.
Thanks for various peoples' support over this time, especially the team. Get in touch if you'd like to stick with us in a few months time.

Just a quick mW update to let you guys know we're still going strong. With the arrival of several new members, including professional developer Cochey Cantu who now leads the art team and composer Khaendar, Avalon is becoming more productive than ever before. The design takes shape, and prototyping begins on our revised gameplay concept today, giving our resident coders Lamoni and Notsosuperhero a chance to put their newly-learnt Uscript knowledge into action.

Woot! Can't wait for the UE3 goodness!
smart move
That's why we just decided to move to UE3. Seems all the cool kids are doing it XD
No, you're right. Source can't really handle our design the way we want to make it, so we've switched over to a more powerful engine. Of course we'll be developing on UT2k4 until the game is out.
Empries fails because of lag and crappy graphics.Plus huge ass maps.
pr0n watched cause this is some sex XD
Profile updated :) There's still a fair bit missing, our comms system, the radar system, etc.
It will come :)
Cheers guys. Profile update coming soon ;)
as Tuckerman said it sounds like Empires (and some other mods), but thats not bad, empires is a great mod ;)
and I hope this will be great to, I wish you good luck :D
Tuckerman there are lots of games that have all them. Empires wasnt the first modification too use them.
Anyway sound good. Good luck 8)
Reminds me of Empires, very, very like Empires.
I don't know if Empires inspired you but if they did you should give them credit because it resembles Empires alot.
1.Squad-based, sci-fi total conversion for Half-Life 2(Seems Empirish)
2.Squad centred multiplayer action to the Source engine(Squads in Epires?)
3.A tactical point capture-type gameplay with a couple of twists(Res nodes?)
4. Capturing points is only possible by using teamwork, and players are rewarded for each point captured with upgrades to their abilities.(Res nodes built, use squads to get upgrades?)
5.Our modification is an ambitious attempt to incorporate RTS and puzzle elements into the FPS genre. (How Empires like except no puzzle)
