Time to start the wandering, stalker...


Autumn Aurora 2 has been released!



The second version of the Autumn Aurora brings the autumnal atmosphere to the Zone and totally overhauls the graphics, sound and gameplay of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl. The mod is built on the newest Zone Reclamation Project's core, it contains official AtmosFear for ShoC which has never been released before. AtmosFear has been extensively redesigned to match the autumn style.
It also holds an official new Absolute Nature for ShoC (never released as standalone as well) with new tree models from AN3 CoP and some new ones.

It is the perfect opportunity for every S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fan to immerse again into Chernobyl universe in completely different style this time.

The Zone calls again...

We've managed to reduce the occurence to a minimum but it still could happen (as it could even in vanilla game). Make a lot of hard saves just in case.

The best way to save is to press ESC+S. Its a mechanic from Zone Reclamation Project. It makes hard saves with different names (time in game + level name)

Great mod! One question...is there a way to fix the overly bright skies? On a clear day in the morning/afternoon, the sky is almost completely white, I would like to darken that a bit. Thanks.

If you have installed everything properly then this shouldn't happen as the lighting has been precisely balanced. Make sure that ENB kicks in (if you installed that version). You can manipulate ENB setting by pressing SHIFT+ENTER and then changing the sky brightness in the popup.

First of all, props for making such a stable mod. Haven't had a single crash so far and I've just made it to the Wild Territory.

Here's a problem though, upon saving Kruglov and making it all the way to the underpass, he stops to talk and then promptly turns around and goes back to his initial spot.

He refuses to move from it and simply says we don't have time to talk.

Is there a fix for this?

Strange, never happened to me and I've played it many times. It must be some kind of glitch in the task script. Try to load the save from before speaking to him for the first time or even from before entering this location.

It actually resolved itself when I quickloaded and quicksaved a few times. Kruglov got off his *** and led me through the underpass unscathed.

Stunning graphics and game design, the autumn environments look crisp and natural. A fantastic mod for Shoc that succesfully introduces an alternative art direction...

While it's a great idea, there are many many flaws that make it a Misery (AKA unfun mod)for SoC. 1) The Grenade Damage and Range, way too high and ridiculous, IRL I could throw a grenade into a room, and stand to the side of the door, and survive with no injuries, in AA2, I can't be within 50m of it or I die. 2) The lack of visibility, yeah I get it "Muh immersion" but the bullshit that stems from being shot from places you can't see, even if you look directly at them, is ridiculous.
