Time to start the wandering, stalker...


Autumn Aurora 2 has been released!



The second version of the Autumn Aurora brings the autumnal atmosphere to the Zone and totally overhauls the graphics, sound and gameplay of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl. The mod is built on the newest Zone Reclamation Project's core, it contains official AtmosFear for ShoC which has never been released before. AtmosFear has been extensively redesigned to match the autumn style.
It also holds an official new Absolute Nature for ShoC (never released as standalone as well) with new tree models from AN3 CoP and some new ones.

It is the perfect opportunity for every S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fan to immerse again into Chernobyl universe in completely different style this time.

The Zone calls again...

You can save before getting into a fight, kill enemies and loot them.
If the stash doesn't proc you can load the save, kill them again and the stashes may proc more.

I wish i could continue this mod, because for some reason, when ever i try to move out of bar, the game crashes after the client synchronizes. I only have 3-4 tasks, and thats only the main mission when on the way to CNPP. As much as i can finish the main story fast, i dont feel bothered restarting over and over again.

Yes, this is devastating.
I've tried to complete the mod twice, and every time Yantar just crashes the game with every save.
I followed the instructions and my PDA was relatively empty, I've had 3 saves and all of them became corrupted.

The mod looks and feels good. But due to the high difficulty, NPC's related to certain quest die way too fast. I can't do **** about it... I feel like this mod is unplayable. Like I'm at Garbage, a group of bandtis are going to attack. The related quest failes over and over again because the quest NPC dies within seconds. So I killed the bandits alone. A few moments later, a blowout. Quest NPC + a couple of other NPCs are instantly heading towards the safe zone and running aimlessly into anomalies. Again the quest NPC died. It's fun to have a hard game. But that's not hard it's BS. :/

All STALKER mods are easy when you compare them to Misery The Black Road.
I fail to see the problem here, you can complete the game without completing a single quest.
I've speedran STALKER in about 20 mins on easy difficulty with good ending.

I don't want to speedrun games nor do I want to skip Quests. I enjoy to immerse into a world but it's literally impossible due to the difficult settings. No immersion - no fun. And skipping questsa and dead npcs for no reason is a big problem for me.

Are you talking about the Stalkers in that scrapyard full of trucks etc? Because that happened to me too the first time, even got a blow out after that. But the second time I did that (with my new PC, so like after a few months) the Stalkers killed without a problem the bandits with my help. I think that's a bit up to chance.

yup. in the beginning there is a stalker who gets robbed by bandits and dies 100% of the time x(. after that there is the scrapyard. I guess that I will try to load another save. maybe it will help. thank you.

Well, regarding other stalker related tasks (Fox, Seriy, Mole etc..) it doesn't really matter if they die or not..just loot them and pick up their flash drives..but if you want them to live, be faster, really fast..

Didn't helped that much. I think I'm going to reinstall stalker and play vanilla. The athmosphere is way better in Autumn Aura but I simply can't enjoy playing it.

Is there a way to only mod the visuals?

This seems to be the problem in a lot of stalker mods. Especially SoC. But i think that the firefights in this mod are so cool that it's worth it. Awesome graphics btw.

Stunning graphics and game design, the autumn environments look crisp and natural. A fantastic mod for Shoc that succesfully introduces an alternative art direction...

While it's a great idea, there are many many flaws that make it a Misery (AKA unfun mod)for SoC. 1) The Grenade Damage and Range, way too high and ridiculous, IRL I could throw a grenade into a room, and stand to the side of the door, and survive with no injuries, in AA2, I can't be within 50m of it or I die. 2) The lack of visibility, yeah I get it "Muh immersion" but the bullshit that stems from being shot from places you can't see, even if you look directly at them, is ridiculous. The enemies…
