Time to start the wandering, stalker...


Autumn Aurora 2 has been released!



The second version of the Autumn Aurora brings the autumnal atmosphere to the Zone and totally overhauls the graphics, sound and gameplay of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl. The mod contains official AtmosFear for ShoC which has never been released before. AtmosFear has been extensively redesigned to match the autumn style.
It also holds an official new Absolute Nature for ShoC (never released as standalone as well) with new tree models from AN3 CoP and some new ones.

It is the perfect opportunity for every S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fan to immerse again into Chernobyl universe in completely different style this time.

The Zone calls again...

I'll start off again by saying this is a lovely mod. A lot of hard work was put into this, and it shows. With that said, Im kinda upset and it's probably something Im doing wrong. I know a lot of people like the random blowouts. They are pretty and well done. But, I just don't like them. I tried. Like I said, maybe im doing something wrong, but they are happening often, and its just insta death for me. I have no real gear yet. Im still at the beginning of the game.

I tried changing enabled = false in blowout.ltx but they still happen. I tried deleting the scripts for blowouts, and they still happen. Then again, I don't claim to know anything about actual mod writing. Reinstalled the mod and now my game is broken. Im not mad about that, that's probably something I did wrong / can fix. But for now, Im just kind of done. Is there any real way to just make blowouts NOT happen? The only downside to that is, I understand that the one that happens at the NPP was disabled. :( That's the only one I really even cared to experience. I really, really want to use your mod because I love it, minus blowouts.

Open scripts/blowout.script

local MIN_SURGE_TIME = 9*60
local MAX_SURGE_TIME = 18*60

9 - minimum amount of hours
18 - maximum amount of hour

This is what Vandrerer wrote a lil while back, you can change how often blowouts happen here:

For my taste blowouts are OK, because of the nice thrill it couses when it occures.

BUT: I dont like the "stopping power" of the blowouts, I mean when you are trying to sprint to shelter and you can not do it constantly. Solution?

Yeah that's worth a shot thanks. I really want to play the mod. I don't want it to sound like im bashing the mod, cause im not at all. I love it. Im probly just being picky. :)

Thanks Virus, and Vandrerer. Hope this isn't a double post. I don't see the one I just wrote. I will try your fix. And again, please know Im not bashing the mod at all. I was just flustered last night. Its a brilliant mod and Im loving it so far. I suppose Im just being picky. Thanks again. :)

Unfortunately no. We tried to do it because strange things were happened lik moved level changers from Yantar to Dark Valley(???) or from Sarcophagus to Pripyat.
