Autumn Aurora 2 has been released!

The second version of the Autumn Aurora brings the autumnal atmosphere to the Zone and totally overhauls the graphics, sound and gameplay of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl. The mod is built on the newest Zone Reclamation Project's core, it contains official AtmosFear for ShoC which has never been released before. AtmosFear has been extensively redesigned to match the autumn style.
It also holds an official new Absolute Nature for ShoC (never released as standalone as well) with new tree models from AN3 CoP and some new ones.

It is the perfect opportunity for every S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fan to immerse again into Chernobyl universe in completely different style this time.

The Zone calls again...

unfortunately no cromm's trees since it would requiere to edit all of em textures and i simply dont have time.

edited detail, mtl, prop, vanilla trees. And some sounds to match snow terrain

all of it copy past really, easy stuff and very amateur-ish of me, sorry for that.. i'll show a vid later so you can see how it looks (with and without enb :)

To receive AA2 trees you need to move whole LEVELS directory.

i mean for snowy textures, i just have vanilla trees snow textures so if i leave aa2 trees they'd still be looink autumn-ish

i've been working with "Winter of Death" mod for COP, some snowy textures from "Winter Edition" mod for ShoC and some others from "DMM's optional snow textures"

i think you can find all of these on this mod repository here:

nato rifles are way too rare and are way too late obtainable. due to enb the night vision and flashlight are either too bright or not bright enough, carry weight should be 60 EASILY! you should NEVER suffer so much health from anti rads and sniper ammo is way too common or too cheap and so on way too affordable. the AI has a wallhack and soeetimes even shoots against the walls when they are in another room, as they know your exact position and spasm out and try to shoot at you already. they are kinda broken, they shoot before they see you. especially with absolute nature it´s a pain in the arse the moment a sniper headshots you even when you were thickly covered 100m away between bsuhes low crouching and you couldn´t even see the sniper yourself. makes it reptitive using the detect function of the binoculars. all saigas except the saiga 12 (version S i mean) are useless compared to most pump shotguns in terms of damage even if they carry 8 rounds in a magazine and are semi auto. the only surival aspect in this game is really obtaining food if you are not able to purchase it, and the hardcore hack AI sometimes. the AI can be smart and fair most of its time but it´s not fixed at all. also weird that you die faster from having constant 5 minute empty stomachs than from having heavy yellow radiation poisoning... which makes it not wanting me to use the rads.... i prefer quicksave often and loadoften. my precious health is not worth it.
also there are crazy spawns when entering a new area. and i think some people had meshes flying all around the CNPP when they first played it.

Stunning graphics and game design, the autumn environments look crisp and natural. A fantastic mod for Shoc that succesfully introduces an alternative art direction...

While it's a great idea, there are many many flaws that make it a Misery (AKA unfun mod)for SoC. 1) The Grenade Damage and Range, way too high and ridiculous, IRL I could throw a grenade into a room, and stand to the side of the door, and survive with no injuries, in AA2, I can't be within 50m of it or I die. 2) The lack of visibility, yeah I get it "Muh immersion" but the bullshit that stems from being shot from places you can't see, even if you look directly at them, is ridiculous.
