Time to start the wandering, stalker...


Autumn Aurora 2 has been released!



The second version of the Autumn Aurora brings the autumnal atmosphere to the Zone and totally overhauls the graphics, sound and gameplay of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Shadow of Chernobyl. The mod is built on the newest Zone Reclamation Project's core, it contains official AtmosFear for ShoC which has never been released before. AtmosFear has been extensively redesigned to match the autumn style.
It also holds an official new Absolute Nature for ShoC (never released as standalone as well) with new tree models from AN3 CoP and some new ones.

It is the perfect opportunity for every S.T.A.L.K.E.R. fan to immerse again into Chernobyl universe in completely different style this time.

The Zone calls again...

Hey. How do I enable nice looking Anti Aliasing? SGSSAA through NV Inspector + AA2 + ENB + SweetFX disables DoF ... Downsampling + AA2 + ENB + SweetFX runs with ~30fps und really tiny UI -_-
Would love to run it with AA2 + ENB + SweetFX @1080p without jagged and pixelated edges ..

I have a 27ยด 1440p IPS screen, and using the standard SweetFX Configurator setting with SMAA, STALKER looks brilliant in my opinion...

My nativ resolution is 1080p, downsampling to 2160p looks perfect, all others like 1440p looks distorted, I don't know why. SMAA does nearly nothing to me.

TBH, I've never managed to make AA work properly in any Stalker. You'll have to live with that ;)

Almost the only thing i miss in AA2 is added capabilities to npc. For exempel letting them loot on their own, and hit you with their gun in close combat. Anyone knows how to add these features. They are included in some other mods as you surely know. Cheers stalkers. And thanks.

An emission hit, I tried to get to cover and eventually did, I hid in that tunnel in Garbage, next to the road to Agroprom. This tunnel provided me good cover during emissions in Clear Sky but I couldn't surive in SoC. I noticed even the bandits at the nearby outposts were running away probably looking for cover but seeing as Garbage doesn't have proper shelter. What can I do to survive the emission? The radiation icon will end up turning red no matter what I do. I even drank a vodka and used antiradiation drugs and a medkit but I still died. What's some proper shelter in Garbage?

Emission covers in CS and in SoC are completely different things.
Check the PDA map. Possible covers are marked there.

Rare case of the broken save. Unfortunately it happens with xRay from time to time. Load the save from before entering the lab.

just tested on an older save and it still corrupts. It seems to do so when the quest updates inside the lab

I don't know if it's too late, but I think I know the problem. You might have too much quests, I'm not sure though.

Stunning graphics and game design, the autumn environments look crisp and natural. A fantastic mod for Shoc that succesfully introduces an alternative art direction...

While it's a great idea, there are many many flaws that make it a Misery (AKA unfun mod)for SoC. 1) The Grenade Damage and Range, way too high and ridiculous, IRL I could throw a grenade into a room, and stand to the side of the door, and survive with no injuries, in AA2, I can't be within 50m of it or I die. 2) The lack of visibility, yeah I get it "Muh immersion" but the bullshit that stems from being shot from places you can't see, even if you look directly at them, is ridiculous.
