Description
Aurora is a science-fiction game designed on the Darkplaces engine and based upon the cyberpunk genre. The game offers a combination of a first-person shooter and a role playing game, allowing for quite a ride for players.
The primary focal point of development is the game's release. It is too often that someone gets an idea and tries to create a game with no experience or talent, leaving the community out to dry only to find that the game is simply another dead one.
Features
Aurora has a prominent damage system that provides real life effects specific to the location of impact. A bullet wound in the leg will slow or perhaps impede the victim if untreated, which introduces another unique feature.
Players will be able to heal themselves and others if the necessary equipment is accessible. Injuries may lead to severe fatalities and/or death, so be sure to get medical attention as soon as possible in order to stay alive. It will also be possible to repair weapons, items, structures, and many other things, however such a subject is currently being discussed.
Storyline
In the future of the little world we know today as Earth, mankind has found itself to be on the verge of turmoil and anarchy. The advancement of breakthrough, cutting edge technology has played a major role in such an inevitable destruction of society, although many positive things have come of the same reason. One of those things, mind you, could be the only chance left for survival.
The year is 2413; the United Earth Directorat has thoroughly initiated progress on research and experiments relating robotical technology. Whilst directing an incredibly large sum of financial expenditure focused on the production, the U.E.D. has at the same time been able to form a vast infantry of elite soldiers trained at an exceptional, first-class rate. Having such a remarkable and unrivalled army standing by and ready to protect such a commodious and extensive interstellar vessel as the U.E.C.N. Ragman, which itself has the necessary mechanical defense system to withstand massive portions of abuse, there is no person who would begin to think that anyone would attempt an attack.
Or so it was thought...
Please note that the game is in its pre-production stages and all content is undergoing heavy development.
