It is the year 1973. The world repels the deployment of Yuri's Psychic Dominator network. To counter their efforts, Yuri's secret moon base decided to turn the most fearful force into a weapon: gravity. However, they did not expect the gravity distortions their experiments caused to be picked up by an outside force...
While usually I won't repost every new feature OpenRA gets, I felt this one deserves a special mention, due to having such an effect on AS.
When I started converting AS over to OpenRA, I immediately stumbled into an issue - cameo colors are hardcoded. Abandoning the cameo style made for AS last year was not an option - especially after since last stream, I made at least 300 of them to improve overall playability.
This limit was the sole thing I considered as a major issue. I can and will work around individual unit issues but this is a global limit directly affecting playability.
Usually people start requesting in such cases. I didn't. I was aware this issue was posted by others already and due to the discussion sparked in the last instance, I was aware where the limit lies in the code.
And in the last 24 hours, I successfully lifted this limit, sent it in to the OpenRA codebase, where it got accepted.
This is a small step for OpenRA but a huge leap for AS. And this also has a symbolic meaning I think: it means AS can and will contribute back to OpenRA.
I don't want to get AS treated as an engine-leecher and one of my long-term goals is to have as less mod-specific logics as possible, with each logic I might come up with in the long run getting their way into OpenRA somehow. Considering that I have no plans for such now, I cannot promise anything though.
TL; DR: Custom cameo palettes are in OpenRA, delivered by yours truly. And if I can do more, I will do more.
Also, you might notice the flag on the conyard. That's an indicator visible only to you, your allies and observers about the subfaction you picked, because subfactions will be picked ingame in the OpenRA builds (right now using the defenses tab for such but that'll be likely changed later). MCVs also got such an indicator flag.
Ah yeah, and ignore the placeholder white buttons.

nice work keep it up
This would be very nice but I can't think about severity (difficulty) of this ! :(
