Brand new version of widely acclaimed weather mod for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call Of Pripyat. This time enchanced with accurate sun position, longer nights lit by the moon with it's phases, new dangerous event: psi storm, reworked weather behaviour, distant storms, meteor showers and many more tweaks.


  • 3 additional dynamic weather cycles (partly cloudy, foggy, very foggy)
    There are now 7 (instead of 4) weather cycles (clear, partly cloudy, foggy, very foggy, cloudy, rainy and stormy).
  • Correct sun position according to geographical (Chernobyl location) and astronomical (as for 15 Aug) data.
  • Longer nights with the real moon that casts dynamic shadows and change the phases.
  • Altered weather behaviour.
    There are now 2 main weathers cycles, good and bad. They change in 2h - 12h periods. The weather still changes from hour to hour within each period.
  • Different weather balance graphs for each area.
    Zaton is often foggy as it is a swamp like area. Jupiter is mostly clear with more storms. Pripyat is rainy and stormy so don't expect much sun there.
  • Full weather cycle (static) for Jupiter Underground.
  • 150+ new rendered photorealistic sky-cube textures featuring skyline with Chernobyl NPP, Limansk radar and Red Forest Brainscorcher.
  • Increased vision distance for clear (x3), partly cloudy(x3) and cloudy(x2) weathers.
  • Reduced vision distance for storms (x0.6), fog (x0.4) and thick fog (x0.1).
  • Dynamic Depth Of Field (DOF)
  • DOF is changing with vision distance and depends on the weather. I.E. on clear day the distant object are sharp but fog will blur them.
  • Blowout - replaced vanilla blowout sequence
    Particle waves sweeping across the area. New sound and environment effects created by imperialreign. Various NPCs fate after blowout (those not in the cover). Various blowout warnings.
  • Fallout - radioactive and chemical fallouts happen from time to time.
  • Psi Storm - the new kind of weather anomaly that is very dangerous to unequipped stalkers. Psi radiation cumulates in vortices which generate high psi levels when they discharge.
  • Optional high-resolution texture pack
  • In game settings for night brightness, weather periods length and balance settings, NPC fate, event warnings etc. (see Options section)
  • Included Ambient Audio Overhaul Core by imperialreign
  • Optional bonus: NanoHud

AtmosFear 3 works with I Work Alone 1.2, but takes away some of the core elements of the IWA Mod like the use of sleeping pills and the sleeping bag. This is the only major thing I could find as of current.

Not the question for me really. Probably you will need to remove all traces of AF 2.1 from Complete first, then merge it with AF 3. Good luck.

My city is at 10ºN (only 2 seasons) but for july and August nights start even after 19:00. in France at 50º N where I lived 3 years, it was night at 22:00, I guess that on Ukraine days should be still longer.. I think atm3 is not realistic for that. Great moon thought

I live in London and here at 22:00 it is still quite bright during the summer. The time zones aren't quite accurate to the geographical positions. Bear in mind that the whole Europe from Poland to Spain has the same time zone. And Ukraine just behind the Polish border has +2h difference.

thanks for ur reply Cromm, ur atmosfear is amazing, I can't imagine playing Cop without..just that with amt3 night feels like I'm on an caribeam place like here but with not cocos and I got back to atm2. For the same scene at 20:00 amt2 give clear daylight and already night for atm3

I've moved the sunrise and sunset 2h later because this calculator adds the summer time wrong way. It should be like on this page: (see 24th)
As you can see AF3 times are correct.

Uhm.. I see, good point..however i dont understand why sunset there seens like or even sooner than the ones here at 10ºN in real life..

In other hand, I'm playing Cop with SGM2. If you check its alife.ltx you can see this

start_date = 01.07.2012

Changing start_date won't change the sun positions. Changing the time of the year is very difficult in weather files. Sun positions need to be altered, textures realigned and re-rendered. Not an easy job.

And for the July the AF2 (vanilla) sun positions are better but east-west are reversed.

The length of the day depends on the latitude and earth axis tilt. That's why the sun doesn't set for months in polar regions in the summer.
So, in summer the further north the longer days.

btw..a couple of tips

SGM 2 has missions on the Dark Valley level, I got there and saw the sky and weathers working like AF2 was there..

For SGM 1.7 af3 make eclipse unable..but after a few changes at the sgm_blackday.script i got them, i like a lot its effects

it would be more realistic because if it was in real world people would not become white skinned and change their equipment in a second
they will just start to attack you and other alive.

Not possible. NPC can't change the faction. The only way is to create zombie equivalent to all stalker models and replace normal one with them on zombification. IMO it's not worth the effort.

I'm trying to run this on a Samsung RC512 notebook (6gb ram, NVIDIA 525m 1gb gfx card, Win7 64bit Premium) but any of the dynamic lighting settings causes it to crash and shutdown immediately. It's fairly stable without dynamic lighting checked (except for the glowing anomaly/boat crash), and can run on max settings without slowdown; but this setting misses out on all the cool effects. Can someone please help or at least point me in the right direction to fix this?

I have a problem, everything runs fine and all (I have smrter mod and the compatibility patch with AF3 also installed), but looks like after a blowout, psistorm or fallout (and maybe other things), the weather bugs and everything looks like I have the static lighting option instead of the enhanced dynamic lighting DX11 I use. I mean not that bad but the weather stops, the sky goes to a dark purple colour, the sun and the shadows are not there, everything looks ugly.
To fix it I have to save and load that save again and everything goes back to normal.

Other thing. Im using DX11 because when I tried normal enhanced dynamic lighting with DX9 or DX10 the game crashes with Xray engine error. I tested and looks like it's this mods' Render.dlls

I have an issue with the fog weather. I'm using the Misery Mod which I understand uses Atmosfear 3 for CoP, but there appears to be very little support to be had in it's forum, so I am trying here. It will sometimes randomly be foggy upon reloading a save game, even if it wasn't foggy when it was saved. Personally I don't like the foggy weather because enemies are not affected by it and will shoot you when you can't even see them. Can someone please advice on how to disable the fog or at least force a weather change?

Same here, but I use SGM 2.2 mod. Don't know why there is so bad weather always. Even when I set sunny weather for 24 hours per day. Can you figure something out guys? And btw, there are no sun rays and I play mod for days. See here:

Cromm. I have Atmosfear3, Absolute Nature 2 and Abs Structures modded into CoP now. I keep getting a crash when doing the "strange glow" quest. Every time I try to pick up the artifact the game crashes. I'd copy and paste the error report, but this forum won't allow it. It's giving me a Error line 173
