Assault Coop Mod is all about co-op! It brings you the joy of assault mode and turning it into player vs. AI action. Each map will include save points, objectives, events, and even a mini-storyline to it. You will fight to complete the mission along with your friends and along with some AI allies. The reinforcement time will stay in its usual state, its adjustable and useful for those who don't want to spawn at different times when you all die. The mod will include new weapons (and characters). Each game mode is taken from the original Assault mode and fixed up to fit these three gaming styles!
Game Modes in Assault_Coop:
-Allied_Warfare- (bots) play AI and player vs. AI and player(complete!)
-Cooperative_Campaign- (coop) play through storylines and levels that use assault flags as save points. Fight against AI and encounter friendly AI buddies as well.(complete!)
-Fort_Ambush- (shoot) raid or defend a base with hordes of enemies. No storylines here. Based on player vs. AI action.(complete!)
-all original 3 gamemodes FFA,TDM, and Assault
Game Modes in Campaign_Coop:
-CAMPAIGN- (coop) play through story mode as well as the pandemie campaign and skript's campiagn with your friends!(scripting:95% complete!)
-Coop mission- (MISSION0) originally sp maps that have the mission "MISSION0" shall be playable in COOP! For example, the famous "Assignment41" will be co-op playable.
So far its just myself(flameknight7). I am recruiting people to join the team!
I fixed the scripts so that this mod functions online, LAN, and dedicated servers!

v2.1 patch:
-random merc and ally spawn added to menu
-new ai models(raptors and sst)
I'm looking into C++ coding for the crygame.dll and heres what i wish to fix:
well the only way to fix many of the major problems with coop is through the crygame.dll which includes c++ coding. Heres a list of what i wish to accomplish:
-AI activates and move when clients see them
-sync seqence animations
-sync AI voicepacks and soundpacks
-sync AI melee, jump, vehicle, idle, and other animations
-fix network to not cause lag for clients (most important)
1.1 far cry patch version:
-clients can handle around 200 AI on map (instead of 30 like in the 1.4 patch)
-easily place the AI map instead of having to use the triggers
-for new comers, you dont have to download the 180mb patch for 1.4 instead you get the 1.1 patch which is only 27mb
If you'd like to turn your map into co-op style for this mod, plz inform me.

A pre-release of Assault Coop v2.0 is out in the public. After months of scripting and countless bug fixes, coop gameplay can be experience through the new and improved bot menu for any map. Older maps from the 1.1 patch for assault coop are playable with this release and so are your co-op maps. A reference guide to my mod is also included which gives a description of each of the new entity scripts I have made or edited. You can use the mod to construct co-op maps.

dude theres like no servers and flamenight is right cuz of crysis but my computer cant run crysis and i kind of like farcry more then crysis. but can some one open up some kind of server for this mod?

your still updating this, cool good to see that your not just leting it sit here after its finished. im going to get a laptop that can paly crysis and supcom so it will be fun to have a mod like this for one of my older games on there so i just dont abandon them.
Hey I just download your mod and I'm having some problems. I have Far cry V1.4 and I can't make the bots work. They doesn't respawn at all, in any game mode. I need to make host a lan server. I have the Assault Coop 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0 pre realese version, obviously instaled in order. Thx for the mod and sorry about my english, I'm still learning :D.
it is not dead :D Since I'm really the only one here its quite hard to keep updates up :/ As of right now I'm getting delayed by the amounts of school work i'm getting and causes my modding time to drop down.
cksnah252 - it does seem to cause a little lag when using the mod. I believe its due to the number of AI syncing i have done for the client in the LUA. I'm looking into the C++ scripts in hope to making it smoother.
Englund - well you are able to play coop through each campaign lvl but the only problems are the mapchanging and AI vehicles. For some reason, AI animations for vehicles are all messed up for the clients. I've allowed the AI chopper to be seen for the client but that tends to cause alot of lag. I dunno if i should just take that out.
I thought the project was dead lol!! But it is a good thing to see you responding back flameknight7. Yeah the assualt coop mod n campaign mod are slow and choppy when i start it up. My single player and regular multiplayer is smooth. Thats strange with the mod when i load it up.
how is it going? it seems a little dead last month :)
