I always thought Assassin's Creed 2 as the best game in the series, but the years pass and the graph starts to become outdated, unfortunately we can not improve the gameplay (like the combat system in AC Brotherhood, or parkour in ACIII) but fortunately we can improve the textures through the program Texmod. This project is based on improving all textures of Assassin's Creed 2. Citizens, buildings, menus, effects. To relive this wonderful game. I have some experience with textures and I'm doing the best I can. Now it may seem little, but eventually we will have great results and beautiful graphics. But this design is great, and I would love for everyone interested in texturing experience and embrace this project. And always remember, nothing is true, everything is permitted.

Texturizing is not easy.

Finally a REAL update after so long, because it is, as I told you, in the past all edited textures were lost, ALL, and I had to start the project from scratch.

The good thing about this absence is that my experience and texture techniques have improved, allowing for a more polished content with a greater level of detail.

And this is one of the points that I want to talk about, surely many of you ask the question: "Renan, because you take so much time to finalize and release a texture project?"
One of my biggest faults (yes, defect) is to be extremely perfectionist, extremely, I make several and several versions of the same texture and I never feel satisfied, always finding a flaw here or there, and it takes time, this time, that for I'm getting shorter (I'm 25 years old, I'm a college student, I have a girlfriend and I work, so you can imagine how complicated it is) sometimes it takes me an average of 2 hours in a SAME texture to still not feel satisfied. It's not just overlays and tricks, I see alignment, color and everything else to deliver the best content possible.

Now, see how many textures are extracted and ready to be modified:

271 in the first packet.
413 in the second package.

It's a lot is not it? Since few are completed at the perfect level to launch or take a screenshot, some are at basic WIP level.

At the moment I am focusing on retexturizing the jewels, clothes, and details of the citizens, giving a more Renaissance and beautiful air for them, working on textures of the environment is more complicated, because it demands time and good alignment, which often needs a study detailed texture on the map.

I have always prayed more for the quality standard than for time or speed for releasing something. However, I see that many here are looking forward to a release.

I am really looking forward to this mod. Amazing work. Just wondering though will the removed shoulder piece part of the mod be an optional thing to use or will that be part of the whole mod. Just wondering because I have been playing with hecumarines AC2 overhaul mod and he has made the leather bracer look close to what the glove blade looks like in the AC2 demo. I am very interested to see what they both look like together. Anyway keep up the good work. :)

Do you think you can mod his second hidden blade to look like the glove in the e3 demo but as an optional file maybe anyways keep up the good work

Unfortunately no, there are ways that emulate this, but in a way with a terrifying quality, with a simplistic look, and the focus of the mod is quality. So I will not mess around with that.
Why that happens? Simple, texmod mods only alters textures, unfortunately we can't modify 3d models (meshes) right now, maybe some day we can.

However, the vambracer, which protects the shoulders, this yes I managed to leave similar to the trailers of E3

Are you using sweetfx when screenshotting those images? Textures are looking good but a bit dark. I cant wait for this mod to come out.

The old screens uses a dark enb, now I don't use it anymore but a simple Reshade with colors similar to AC2-Remaster

Hard to tell, when I think I was finishing, more ideas come and more is improved. I'm a perfectionist, thats the great problem of this mod.

But probaly 25 December everyone will get a surprise.

you should work with another mod creator called hecummrane (I thinks that's how you spell it ). He the one who made the overhaul mod for assassins creed 2 and I think if you two worked together you guys can make the perfect mod for ac 2 just some advice:)

A v2 of Enhanced Gotham for Arkham Origins, to be honest just a re-release because of upload bugs, and finalization of THE DARK KNIGHT PACK for Arkham Knight.

For AC-Series MAYBE, MAYBE the equivalent of this for Brotherhood, but I don't see much necessity since the Brotherhood visuals are pretty good.

To correct this should be implemented a direct programming in the game code, which is not the case because we use Texmod for textures, which is totally different and unfortunately the source code of the game is not open for editing in maps / models (if it was , my friend, I would probably add THOUSAND THINGS)

But ... what can be implemented (and will be) is an improvement of the .LOD textures that generate a better Draw Distance sensation, (just a sensation, as if it were a "Fake Draw Distance"), at least in the appearance of the textures , but unfortunately it does not fit the modeling correctly.

In the moment you can use this cheat table made by Dr4Wm4N:

Fixes the shadow and, in some cases (my other PC for example) fixes the Draw Distance too.

Well if you do ac brotherhood you won't really have to do much besides lighting in the game,same thing kinda goes for revelations just lighting
