Ashes of ApocalypseMorrowind mod | Released Aug 8, 2006Ashes of Apocalypse: Zero-One
Overview According to our records, we should now be surviving the year 2073. It is hard to believe this place was once called Earth. Little life still endures and sees the sun rises doubtingly on the wastelands. Those among the livings that can still consider themselves human have retreated into the barrier cities: humanity last defenses. Various recent reports from the other cities announce what could be the dawn of a new menace: the machines? automats, mostly androids, those that once were to the service of humanity, those we left behind when we sought refuge in the barrier cities? those we believed to be broken beyond repair due to the intense electromagnetic pulses created by the numerous nuclear explosions? they appear to have been reactivated and are now progressing toward city Zero-One, obliterating everything in their path. We have already lost contact with two of the barrier cities: instead they seem to be repeating a powerful signal that seems to transmit heavily encrypted orders to the robots which we have not yet been able to decipher. However, our engineers have adduced convicting evidences that this stimulus has a sole objective: to terminate any human life. Any capable men and women are now being enrolled to defend city Zero-One. Our last hope might be to find the source of the signal and destroy it. Features - Explore a vast post nuclear wasteland.
Latest News: Development Progress
0 comments by clone` on Apr 17th, 2006 digg this super bookmark Development for Ashes of Apocalypse on Morrowind is still going strong. We have toned down some of our goals for it though. The size of the world will be a bit smaller then originally planned. The storyline will focus on playing as a wastelander and standing up against the United Barrier Nations. I will be completely finishing it with a couple of other people and then release it. There may be expansions released for it later on. The development of Ashes of Apocalypse 2 for Oblivion has begun! We haven't decided on a official name yet but it will be set before the events of Ashes of Apocalypse for Morrowind. Expect more details soon.

Thanks for the review and for playing Ashes of Apocalypse Chris555! We hope to expand a lot in the areas of storyline and dialogue in version 1.2.
Thanks again!
Interesting concept. I am waiting with baited breath for the version with quests/dialogue, perhaps in later versions you might add that when your character is created, they get simple weapons/armor according to their specific skills, instead of starting with a shotgun and medium armor only. And all the empty boxes were a bit out of place... namely cause they were empty :P .
Also when I took some stuff out of a box that *did* contain items, the guard nearby just ran at me, said "Back away scum!" and started shooting at me with his P90. Speaking of P90s, the training videos you pick up/buy are an awesome addition to the mod.
Great mod you got here, with great potential. I hope that later versions will improve on all the quirks and make for an overall much more fun gameing experience.
I rate: 7/10, great concept, great work on the meshes and textures. Keep up the great work! :)
Some bugs and missing files were found in 1.1, so the download was taken offline. I will be putting 1.1 on Moddb next month.
Also, I can't find 1.1 for download, even though on the modwatch it says you released it... :S
bitTorrent.
Download an ISO file, then get Daemon Tools and mount the ISO. It tricks your computer into thinking that there's another cd drive with the CD in it. Works all the time for me. ;)
I got a problem...
My Morrowind CD is scratched and therefore wont work ... since it's ben ages since i played it and i got it installed for this mod .. i got it downloaded etc installed, and i can't play withouth the CD ... and it wont detect it =( =( ... aww now i gotta find it in stores...but the problem is..it's not in stores..AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW *sobsobsob*
I heard you guys say AoA 2 on the radio show...cant wait XD!
Try reinstalling AoA, if that doesn't solve it, download AoA again. If them both don't work send me a PM and I will help you further.
Really would like to play this mod but after the intial story opening, it crashes completely any ideas. Comes up with error message
the instruction at "0x6d957c2" reference memory at "0x00000000". the memory could not be " read".
any suggestions
OMG THIS IS AWSOME!
