Arx - End Of Sun is a new free and fan made game that is based on the first person dungeon RPG : Arx Fatalis developed by Arkane Studios. In our game world you will play out the events ( with a liberal dose of poetic licence ) that precede the original story of Arx Fatalis. You will no longer require a copy of Doom3 to play Arx - End Of Sun. We are now running on a custom version of the engine code and we use no assets from any commercial titles in our game.

We are proud to present to you after many months of hard work, our second work in progress video demonstration...
We have come a long way since our first WIP demo video... however there is still much to do before the demo is ready...
....Fricking awesome! Now I seriously can't wait to play this. I've always loved the spell casting in Arx. It must have taken a lot coding to get all those Arx features into id engine.
Very nice indeed, the doom3 sounds will be replaced eventually i hope ?
Also please bring the specular of the rocks down a tad, right now they look very wet and shiny. Btw some sections of the maps (the caves sections) look very bright imo, i think you guys should bring the ambient light down a little and let the shadows stand up more.

You should ask if people in the darkmod 'd like to tag a long, any fan of THIEF would definitely want to hop on board for something as good as this...

Glad you like the video. The chickens are actually there in that location in Arx1 (That is so far the only re-made location from the original game). Trouble is, my chicken models are pretty crappy. Hopefully Tox can make some better ones one day!
