What This Does

This mod adds lots of new armors, almost all of them can be bought at Owl in skadovsk.
NPCs use these armors too and you'll see veteran stalkers wearing modified military suits and so on, Often just other Camo versions of their vanilla counterpart.

18 new armors, all of which can be purchased at Owl according to your progress in the game or rank.
Stalkers now wear all the armor implemented, except the 5 special armors which can only be bought from Owl.


2 Mercenary variations (From Build 1935)
2 Freedom variations (from ShoC)
1 Duty Variation (From Build 1935)
1 Bandit Variation
2 Loner Variations
3 new player armors
Added 4 completely new outfits (Thanks to the guys on the AMK forums)
Added 2 new loner variations
Added new bandit variations and replaced the vanilla sunrise suit
Stalkers wear implemented armor, several new suits
OPTIONAL Kaplan's weapon mod

Armory Mod 1.0.3 and previous versions are fully available as a mod resource, so long as you only use the models i have made in this mod, not the ones from the AMK forum (refer to me if you want to know what models were borrowed and what were made by me) If you want to use the models from the AMK forum, refer to the various authors listed above on the credit list for usage.

the majority of the models included in this mod belong to their respective owners (GSC Gameworld for all the stalker models, and the modders of the AMK forum, as an example) However i make/edit/enhance textures and the occasional model, as well implementing the models in the game either as NPCs or player armors.

So i recently got a few complaints about the mod crashing the game because it looks for the model in the wrong place. This issue should only occur in the M.S.O merge and can be fixed by the latest HOTFIX. I recently got a negative review due to these crashes, so just to clarify there is a HOTFIX available here on the site and it should fix the problem, so download it and install, and enjoy the mod.

I deeply apologize for this stupid bug which is really my fault, found a section in one of the files where i got really sloppy while testing, which resulted in the crashes that are bugging the M.S.O merge. To clarify even more, M.S.O is not at all involved with this crash, it is solely caused by a mistake in one of the Armory Mod files, so any and all complaints regarding Armory Mod 1.0.3 M.S.O Merge should be directed to me, not Trojanuch.

iv'e tried merging this with shoker weapon mod for personal use but am having a problem getting the stalkers to wear the suits, owl sells the modified stalker and merc suits but stalkers don't wear anything other than the standard outfits.

any ideas what might be conflicting ?

im using winmerge btw

Correct, the MISERY sub-mod has about 43+ new meshes that Armory Mod 1.0.3 doesn't have, so there was quite a bit of work involved, and i suspect there still is, now when Trojanuch and N.Aaroe are integrating it into the data files (A task i always found tedious, i might add)

Is it really difficult to change the mesh of the character?

The reason I ask this is because a long long time ago I remember the 'large boots' syndrome was criticised. I have just accepted it as I assumed there wasn't a fix.

The modding community has excelled in a lot of areas, but I have never really seen any other major modifications in characters. There must be a reason to this.

Looking at your new meshes of head gear, etc. How hard would it be to attempt altering boot size?

Also 3rd person animations? Is it something that is so difficult to alter that nobody bothers with it?

I can not say for the Animations, i've always stayed clear of those,(Out of my field really). But the boots, thats a different matter. Sadly, boots are a part of the initial body mesh, meaning it can not be scaled so easily, because it is fully connected to the body, and so therefor alters it along with itself. it is not impossible, however, it just requires a lot of work. you can alter and edit the size much more efficiently in programs like 3ds Max and Maya, but it requires (obviously) the tools mentioned, and, a lot of plugins from all corners of the STALKER fanbase, especially the russian communities (they have tons of tools) so the simple and blunt answer is; yes, you can change boot size, but it is somewhat difficult for people with no modelling experiences and very time consuming even for experienced modders. This is the best answer i can give you, i'm afraid!

I was mostly going on about the plugin part- the part that was hardest for me, and proved to be quite a bother at many occasions- but yeah, once you actually get into your program of choice, be it Max or Maya, its fairly easy, (not to say repetitive, thats a lot of boots) ;)
