Hey again everyone, so today I come back to you with good news, I have been trying for about 2-3 days to get a feature working that a few people originally asked for a while back, and I wanted to try to make things more impressive, so now I present to you..... the exploding VOB :O
This is obviously a test version rendered off, but I am using the animation of the explosion itsself for the OVA, the VOB will feature twice in the OVA, once in the main segment and once in the Intro. Unfortunately because of problems with UDK (Possibly that its constantly in beta phase) I am having to flick backwards and fowards between UT3`s version of the engine and UDK now, I may just transfere it all to UT3 and render it off, I am not sure at the moment, all I know is that UT3 has alot more to offer in terms of effects and things, but UDK I think has a better lighting system.... I might have to experiment.
Anyway, lots of coffee over the past few days, listening to music and watching anime whilst I work, and the occasional moment when I just sit and watch Monty Oums animations for ages, makes me feel inspired to try harder when it comes to animating stuff for the OVA.
Anyway I am still trying to find some sort of a plan for a storyboard here atm, all I have at the moment is random ideas I keep trying to grasp at, so you`ll see visuals to accompany those ideas in the form of more videos popping up left and right.
When I finally get stuff done I am hoping its gonne be awsome, just hope you will all appreciate how much I put into the work in the end.
Anyways back to work for me
-Dave
Looks awesome keep it up
thanks, your support means alot to me :)
I'm still looking so much forward to this!
Thanks for your patients :)
love your work. =D
Thank you very much :)
Gonna be amaaaaazing.
You're one hell of an animator.
Nah, the Vanguard explosion animation is controlled via physics reactors from 3dsmax mainly, thus most of it was done by the program, I will be able to be proud of my work when I can safely say that I can animate well enough to make myself happy, mainly because artists are their own biggest critics, thus I strive to become better all the time.
:)
