Wow, I tried to make a mod like this years ago and gave up. I'm really excited to see someone actually made a mod and released it (in beta) TODAY after I decided I wanted to play Star Wars Republic Commando again! The coincidence is blowing my mind and pants.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what caused that bug. I recommend using the invincibility cheat for now.

You don't need any version. Just a copy of SW: RC. Download, drop the files in your game data folder (Don't forget to make backups), and your set to play. :D

Download the files, and drop them into your Game-Data folder (make a backup of the folder first) and you're all set. After that, just launch the game like normal, and the modifications will show up.

I got a question about the mod..you see, im no good with computers aside from basics..and I don't have a clue how to manually install things. I backed up the data and atempted to extract the files where they seemed to go, but it wouldn't work. When the full 3.0 is released, could there maybe be a quick, auto instal for those like me who aren't so good with computers?

Sure. Franz is the genius with auto-installers, so I'll make sure he makes one with the full 3.0. As for manually installing the mod, here's a quick tutorial.

Step 1: Open the .ZIP file
Step 2: Double-Click ARC mod 3.0
Step 3: Select (click and drag the cursor over) all five of the folders that appear.
Step 4: Navigate to your GameData folder, its usually
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Republic Commando\GameData
Step 6: Drag the folders from the .ZIP file into the GameData folder
Step 7: You will now be prompted to merge the folders with the existing folders. Check the "Do this for all current items" box, then click Yes
Step 8: You will now be prompted to move and replace, don't move, or move and keep both files. Again, check the "Do this for all current items" box, and click Move and Replace.

Yeah, the crash on death isn't your comp, its a rather annoying bug brought on by part of the new HUD. Don't worry, its been fixed and will be addressed in the 3.1 patch.

It won't let me download the file 3.0. I need some serious help, Because after I download it I check the place I saved it and it doesn't allow me. It's actually not there, and when I think it's because I'm not downloading it from this website, but it won't let me do that either.

What I'm mainly saying is that it won't let me download it from this website, and when I use it at File Front, it's a zipped folder hidden somewhere. It's aggrivating.

Wow, I just now saw all your comments. Sorry about the delay. :(

Black-Screen Issues:

Replace your GameData folder with the Backup Folder you made and reinstall the mod. If you didn't make a backup, try re-installing the mod without reverting your GameData folder to its original form. If problems persist, try re-installing the game. If problems still persist, send me a P.M. and I'll try to walk you through it personally.

Download issues:

If the file fails to download, I suggest you contact someone who has the mod and request that they send it to you, or try again on a different computer (FileFront can be iffy sometimes, and, alas, this is the only place we've uploaded the mod).

How to backup (Do this before installing the mod):

Step 1:
Open your SWRC root folder, its usually
C:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Republic Commando
Step 2:
Right-click > Create New Folder
Step 3:
Name the folder BACKUP
Step 4:
Right Click the GameData folder > Copy
Step 5:
Open the BACKUP folder
Step Six:
Right-click > Paste

Installation issues:
If the mod fails to install, re-download it and try again. If it still fails to install, shoot me a PM, and I'll try to walk you through it.

Hope this helps, and sorry for the delay in response. ;)
