It's a tradition in Apocalypse Weapons to spend a bit more time on a version... And this time it won't be different. I just must say that it'll be a very worth wait for you all.

I've thought details: muzzle flashes, bullet effects, decals, new sounds, weapon size and position, etc... And that's what I'm working on. I guess every weapon will have one thing added.

I've done it to several weapons, like the Silver Falcon, Shredder, Golden Falcon and Cyber Rifle. I had some ideas for the other weapons, also, and I'll be doing it during this week, maybe the next week, too.

The codes are pretty simple, but I'm going to improve some parts of the original UT's muzzle code. I'm not sure if it's going to work, but I'll try it out. You can expect neat things, with realism, perfection and blood...

The improving of the muzzle effects seems like a good way of fine tuning the gameplay of the mod. I'm looking forward to the beta 9 version but I am interested to know what wall thinkness the Cyber Rifle can penetrate to help me consider Apocalypse Weapons when mapping.

Sorry, I've been away for some days :D

arvey-Haynos, I don't know exactly the "penetration power" of the rifle, but think that normal walls (such as DM-Agony ones) can be penetrated easily, by any angles. In some walls, you just can penetrate by shoting it in front of it, w/o any angles, otherwise the shot will stop there.

Actually, I want a real mod. I mean, possible things, not stupid ones. Like, I've found some weapon mods that has a pistol firing a laser shell in primary fire, and a huge rocket in the secodary... really weird isn't it?

I'm trying to make a realistic mod, where everything can be explained. Even the rockets have fuel! Explosions doesn't happen underwater, etc. Even the adrenalin thing have some scientific explanation, though.

So, that's it. It's a great challenge to make a thing real and fun at the same time :D Of course, with a bit of unreality, otherwise I should be using another engine :P
