AoE3 - Revised offers a less restrictive Age of Empires 3 experience and aims to make the game
more like it's predecessor.

Here is a brief overview of what you can expect from this mod:

- Buildings and Naval units are no longer limited to a certain number - now you can build as many
outposts you want and maintain a fleet as large as your population and resources allow.

Bigger Fleets

- Buildings are now twice as resilient in order to boost a defensive approach. This also reduces the
pace of the game a bit and allows for longer matches.

- Forts and Factories are now buildable given the player has reached the required era.

New Buildings

- The population certain units need is now determined by the unit-type. Infantry costs 1, cavalry 2,
artillery 4 and mercenary units twice as much population now (minor exceptions e.g. hand mortar).

- Corpses now take a longer time (300s) to decay which makes for much more atmospheric battles.

Slower Decaying Corpses 1

- Artillery has been reworked. Mortars and Morutarus are no longer restricted to attacking buildings/
ships and European civilizations can build Gatling Guns starting in the Industrial Age. Most Artillery
has a minimum attack-range now in order to improve melee counters.

Compatibility: For Age of Empires 3 with The Warchiefs and The Asian Dynasties expansions.

Hi, i don't know if you're still working on this mod, i really like it, but it seems to me that the European countries now have a huge advantage over the Native American and Asian countries, since they get the forts and factories; giving them a defensive as well as HUGE economic boost.

My suggestion would be to make all villagers cost 0 pop, and return the limit on the amount of villagers, so that the asian/native americans can build more villagers, to compensate for the fact that the europeans can now build factories. I'd even suggest a limit on the number of factories as well.. Since the factories are simply too OP...

For example, a limit of 5 or 10 factories,
the europeans can then make 100 villagers,
(and the dutch and french a bit less; 60 or 80)
and the asian/native americans would get 150-200 villagers.
This way you can also make bigger armies, btw! ;D

Two last questions;
does the AI actually build forts/factories,
and do they build more units, when they can?

Hello !

I like the mod, except for one strange "bug" (I assume it's one...).

If I understand correctly, there should be no more limitations as to the number of ships built (as long as their number is compatible with the available ressources and command points).
But in every one of my game sessions (on any map), I still have a limited number of buildable ships (usually, all I can build is any number of fishing boats, 3 caravels, 1 galleon, a few canoes, absolutely no frigate or monitor).
How can I solve that ? (I already tried uninstalling and reinstalling, to no avail).

Thanks for your help !

Go to your Steam directory, probably in the program files or the program_files(x86) map then go to steamapps/common/Age_of_Empires_3, paste your 'bin folder' and it should work.
