The Antlion threat has grown
Following the events of Antlion Troopers, you again play a young combine soldier. Due to you exemplary performance in the first antlion encounter the Combine Advisors have started you on a path to become a commander. They have placed you under the care of Commander Vesque to train in the abilities needed to be a proper commander. Your first mission as a trainee is to provide relief support to an outpost somewhere in the Death Valley desert. The antlions there have been quite agitative and the defensive machinery has been failing. Without operational thumpers the base is slated to quickly fall to the whim of the antlion mobs.
Control your allies
New to Antlion Troopers Deuce is the ability to control your ally soldiers. Using the default keys of 'N' and 'M' you can move your allies around. 'N' selects and deselects an ally. While 'M' moves all currently selected allies. When selecting allies it is key to know that it selects using the bounding box of an ally, so whether an ally is standing or crouching they will still take up the same volume to which they can be selected from.
The antlions are a relentless foe
Antlion Troopers Deuce is roughly 4x the amount of gameplay of Antlion Troopers. The Antlions want nothing, but to murder every combine soldier. Luckily they inherently exhibit a wavelike behavior. Use this to your advantage. When a lull in the combat comences be sure to stock up on any and all ammo and other necessities you can find. Another key note is always listen to your commander. Failure to do so could result in you being left behind in the dust.
Do you have what it takes to save an outpost from certain doom?
Will you take the banner of the Combine Regime and rise against the antlions or will you let the antlions barge in teeth and claw, and let them mercilessly murder your combine comrades. It is up to you to save the outpost and determine the fate of those few allies left.

hey get a skinner and change the antlion models to arachnoid( or something like that) models. Ya know. From starship troopers. (good film) then simply change a few rebel models and voila. U have ure marines and ure bugs. Then u just need the maps...

haven't u ever tried playing these maps on garrysmod? it's just like a coop version. Great fun as long as the server is decent enough to handle so many antlions.

First off, the antlion trooper idea is a great one, damn you could make a real good mod out of this if you choose to go all the way.

I really liked the dramatic music, it was the best part of this mod, on low quality version the framerate was perfectly fine for blasting away at things. I also liked the extremely clever level design and well time dramatic moments. I think my favorite moment must of been where I was rushing down the stairs in the base being chased by the antlions all the way. I haven't been freaked out by antlions ever, but this really got me good for some reason. I can't seem to find a way to win. The helicopter bombs keep blowing the crap out of me at the end no matter where I take cover with my commander. Also, the voice acting and script you did isn't very good but I am content with ignoring such trivial issues.

I can see how this mod has a lot of potential, especially in base and level design. If you ever turn this into a multiplayer mod I'm sure it would be awesome considering there aren't any starship trooper mods yet.

When I died it was very dramatic.... I was inside the combine base with only the green combine commander and myself alive, then the antlion guard emerges from below, it started to turn slow motion and then I got cornered and it crushed me, or maybe the grenade I fired was too close.
Awesome mod, but I wish there were a multiplayer mode.

This is a great mod, and deserves to be complimented.
The Deuce version was fun and hard BUT very laggy.
even on a pc that has a 3ghz processor and a Ati Radeon 9800 second editon, with 256mb of memory, my pc still pretty much died on the high quality version. However, on low i experiance only a slight drop in frame rate.

The mod looks like it was professionally done with the voice acting and everything, and some peopl should take a leaf from this mods book when they come to release their HL" mod or any mod fr that matter.

i loved the starship trooper theme, the music.. it fits, havent get passed 1ste section lol.my men keep getting slaughtert and that damn commander always dies.
but, i hope seeing ALOT more work for half-life 2
btw, i can get up with some cool scenarios. ;)
