This mod attempts to reflect the reality of 13th century Europe. The starting point of the journey is year 1257 AD and attempts to be as historically accurate as possible. From this point on the player and NPC lords shape this land and fight for supremacy and control of the continent.

You may not use any part of this mod without obtaining permission from the original author in any works, free or commercial, unless otherwise specified.
The mod currently requires Warband 1.143-1.153 and it is to be considered in beta stage. Bug reports and suggestions are welcome!

Features:
-All of Europe, featuring 42 factions
-Hundred of new historical, region based troops.
-More then a thousand new items, armors, weapons, all historically accurate for XIII century.
-Buildable castles.
-Manor system, with the ability to build custom settlements (build buildings that appear in the scene!)
-Realistic combat system, with taunts, formations, realistic horse archery and many other.
-Custom battle scenes, realistically depicting each region of Europe.
-Weather system, including desert storms, blizzards, rain storms
-Play as one of your soldiers after your death, with our made auxiliary player feature (can be turned off in the mod options).
-Crusading system: Go crusading to the holy land a crusade or start a new crusade yourself!
-Join a crusader order as sergeant or a knight!
-New lance recruitment system, aiming to emulate medieval feudal recruitment system.
-Companion system improved and remade
-Sea battles and sea travel
-Many new scenes for castles, towns and villages. A good number of them - are historically based reconstructions of real places!
-Many other major and minor features!

A new and final (this time really final) version of the mod has been released. The new version mainly contains various fixes: for scenes, script errors and so on. In other words, some of the last holes was filled.

This version should also be compatible with 1.11 version of the mod. However this is untested, so use at your own risk. It is generally recommended to start a new game with every new version of the mod.

This is the last version of the mod with no plans to continue development anymore. Thank you all for your support and contributions over these years!

Guys first of all great mod, tho it needs much polishing... Can someone PLEASE HELP ME, whenever I go in battle, atm got : Serbian knights, Serbian town archers, and some other units in my army, half of my army just plain STANDS STILL they don't even move or defend themselves, just sit on stupid f...ing horses all the time, I try to move them via commanding but they just idle like morrons, is it supposed to be like that or?? getting into combat this way takes waaaay to long and most of the time I need to solo whole combat alot, please what can I do to avoid this, are just some of units bugged? I understand that cavalry needs more units to form a formation, but at least they can F...ING follow me???

Brate, I assume it's a bug. At the beginning of every battle units are standing still by default. But they defend themselves and they CAN be ordered to charge or whatever. Cavalry usually sucks if they are just "holding position".
Honestly, Most of my battles I WANT my soldiers to stay back while I deal with most of the forces. However, they are valuable at end of the battle the most, or ALWAYS if you are siegeing the castle/city.
I'm not sure what the problem is in your case. You seem to know about commands, so I'm not sure how to help. pressing 1 calls for infantry, 2-archers 3-cavalry 4-mounted archers 0-everyone
0, f1, f3 = Everyone CHARGE!
0 f1 f1 = Everyone hold this position (lame because archers are always in front of the infantry and get rammed by the enemy infantry/cavalry)
0 f2 f4 = Everyone tighten ranks (stay closer to each other. very useful if creating choke points)
Those are the commands I use most often. And since I'm playing as Serbian vassal I can say they work. Although I try to keep my Serbian units at the end of roster because they tend to die way too easy. I put mercinaries and foreigners in the vanguard.

Sredio sam malo oko cmobata to, ali braaateee objasni mi ovo znaci ... i ja sam krenuo kao vazal Srbije, i ratujemo sa Venecijom, znaci svaki put imaju vise vojske i dobijamo ih, ali kad savetujem da krenemo na neki zamak ili grad, ili nemamo marsala, ili siege zamka traje neograniceno dugo i nikad se ne desi, zasto??? secam se u originalu jednostavno dodjes i cekas i posle dan dva oni siege-uju,i udjes da im pomazes, ovde se to ne jednostavno ne desava, oni krenu siege i ja cekam tu po nedelju dana i jace, onda dodje naravno venecija najuri ih itd itd, isto tako posle odredjene bitke igra je krenula da mi crashuje, totalno ne znam iz kog razloga, tako da ima par jako iritantnih stvari mod...

Ah da, smaraju bas bas dugo. Ne znam sto ali vrlo retko sami uspeju da uzmu neki zamak. Obicno sam ja taj koji zauzme i onda dodele nekom drugom... Srnj. Ali ako hoces zajedno sa njima da zauzmes, kad naprave opsadu moras da pricas sa komandantom opsade i da kazes nesto kao "help in the next assault" ili tako nesto i onda valjda krenu.
Igra svima crashuje. Vidis i sam u oceni da su im dali keca jer ima tih runtime errora. Nema pomoci. Kod mene ako napadam grad i ako ode u drugu etapu da se ratuje na ulicama 9 od 10 slucajeva crashuje. Napisah negde dole nekom kako meni pomaze da umanjim bolobe konstantnog runtime errora

E a bas mi je to cudno, sto nisu mogli samo da urade kao u originalu, bilo bi super, dodjes cekas malo padne siege, ko ima najveci respect kod vladara ili marsala ili generalno kod frakcije dobije posed i idemo dalje... ufff pa to mi sad bas ubija vajb :( mucio sam se pola godine sa crash-ovanjem Skyrima i svim mogucim i nemogucim nacinima da resim probleme oko modova, znaci sad kad mi igra crash-uje ono, smorim se :D a sta je zanimjlivo, igra mi nije uopste crash-ovala (solidnih 4-5 sati na modu) do jednog momenta i sad mi tu zabada...

Pa tako je. Obicno izbacuje kad naleti na neki predmet ili nesto sto ne moze da procita najbolje. Zato pre svake borbe sacuvaj igru i po mogucstvu smanji battle size na minimum (30), a posle povecas kad udje u bitku. Ako u gradu ima preko 500 ljudi, pobij sto vise i onda se povuci kad ostane jedan lik ziv i ponovo dizi opsadu. Tako preskaces deo na ulicama koji najvise pravi probleme, barem meni.
Pa gledaj posto sam se naosvajao gomile zamkova, i unistio gomilu zemalja, njihovi vazali presli kod nas i onda se uvek favorizuje onaj koji nema zamak/zemlju da dobije novoosvojenu teritoriju. Tako da dodje period ne dobijem nista a osvojim sam celu zemlju bukvalno. I ima tu dosta politike. Ako gradis odnose sa vzalima i kraljem, mozes da ih pitas da te podrze za dobijanje nove zemlje. Recimo desilo mi se da sam samo kralja s kojim sam dobar pitam za podrsku i dodeli meni lik :) Ima tu mnogo vise od samo osvajanja, ali jbg, u konstantnom ratu i bez mene ode sve u k. Tako da nemam vremena da ganjam vlastelu po svetu i trazim podrsku za svaki osvojeni zamak.

For some reason I am getting a blue glow around some npcs and on my own character. Can someone help me fix this. I am playing this on version 1.60 btw.

I think we are going to have to put up it with it as the mod author said he is not going to update anymore and the crashes are quite annoying so we either have to put up with it or stop using the mod im afraid personally I am going to stop playing the mod.

I have to say this mod is one of the most successful mods I have ever played. It needs some polishing, it's still alpha, but yet feels like closed beta. I can't wait for a final version. The mod itself feels like a total new game. The map is just outstanding as in size and in factions. The soundtrack is beautiful and fitting. Combining AD 1257 with Warband Battle Sizer will give you the most amazing experience you ever had in M&B. Numerous times I felt like in the movie Braveheart on the battlefield…
