A new and final (this time really final) version of the mod has been released. The new version mainly contains various fixes: for scenes, script errors and so on. In other words, some of the last holes was filled.

This version should also be compatible with 1.11 version of the mod. However this is untested, so use at your own risk. It is generally recommended to start a new game with every new version of the mod.

This is the last version of the mod with no plans to continue development anymore. Thank you all for your support and contributions over these years!

Question(s)
Can Orthodox countries join/create a crusade? If so, how? I don't see the option when I speak with my king. I even tried speaking with the Pope, even though that makes no sense and obviously, I didn't find any option to start a crusade.
Also, are there any Orthodox Crusader orders, or will I have to settle with the Catholic ones?

As far as I know there weren't any Orthodox military orders, also Byzantine Empire (at the time actually still known as Roman Empire) only really took part in the first crusade (which at the time btw was called "armed pilgrimage") when they expected crusaders to give their territory back which they instead took for themselves, so they didn't even actively helped in the following crusades.

Well, maybe not at the time of the game. But like you said, the Byzantine lords did in fact join some crusades and they (as a country) did constantly tease the west with joining and supporting the crusades.
The Orthodox Church didn't like the idea of fighting for the religion, as it's contradictory to the teachings of Jesus (especially after the forth crusade when the so called Christians sacked Constantinople and established their own little Latin Empire), but nontheless they (Orthodox) should at least have the option in game to join the crusade, like any other Christian lord.
So, to answer my question, you are saying there is nothing about crusading system that can be used by an Orthodox player? A shame. I guess I'll just let muslims destroy Crusader states and take Jerusalem...

Join the crusade? you stypid or something? they don't really want any of the holylands for them selfs as they dont see it as neccesity for them, unlike the christians urge to get it back to christian control for some reason, and the byzantium's only reasons of joining any crusade would be solely only to claim some land for themselfs and for the profit westerners might pay them for helping. but to join officially a crusade? what next cathars joining the christian crusade against cathars? huh

@IllusiveSerb Nice shot, Legolas!

@Anromind Learn your facts. They want the Holy Lands, not solely because of religious reasons, but just because they want more lands, like every country wanted back then. They even called the first crusade, again, not because of their religion, but because they needed help against the muslims, and they wanted the first conquest of the crusaders, Antioch (if you didn't know, as the pleb you are), for themselves. As the crusaders wanted to claim it for their own, the Byzantines became unfriendly with the crusaders, refusing to help them for a long time.

@mcskatkat You're a child, the fact you say that to other people in a random comment chain you weren't even involved in like it's an insult and the fact you have 'mc' (minecraft I guess) in your name (a biased game with the most popular servers filled with trolls, lazy admins and hackers, if anyone didn't know that) provide enough evidence.

PS: Didn't the Catholic Church start a scouring of the Cathars with the accusation of heresy for their riches?

I think the Hungarian Destrier horses are missing textures or something. Their all white in battle.

Coursers are all white too, hunters are all brown, warhorses all have the same grey chainmail with a black horse underneath, chargers have red and grey chainmail with, again, a black saddle horse underneath, steppe and sumpter horses all are grey. They don't miss textures, they only have 1.

PS: some modders try to get some variety in the units by giving knights/mounted units multiple horses with almost the same name but a different colour/texture as a whole (i.e. if the courser has a black color, it could have name 'Black Courser', if it's white, it could have the name 'White Courser'.

I have to say this mod is one of the most successful mods I have ever played. It needs some polishing, it's still alpha, but yet feels like closed beta. I can't wait for a final version. The mod itself feels like a total new game. The map is just outstanding as in size and in factions. The soundtrack is beautiful and fitting. Combining AD 1257 with Warband Battle Sizer will give you the most amazing experience you ever had in M&B. Numerous times I felt like in the movie Braveheart on the battlefield…
