Angels Fall First: Planetstorm is an objective-based assault game fought both in space and on the ground. Featuring totally original art and completely new game types, we take you from flying gigantic capital ships, piloting fighters, and manning turrets to the traditional vehicular and infantry combat, both planet-side and inside the starships themselves. At your command are more than two dozen ships and vehicles, including all original weaponry, 3 maps with full bot support, two custom characters, with more on the way. This is the new ranger model, an example of how far we've come since the old homeworld models. On the new ships, you can see fins and slats moving, torp hatches and bays opening, weapons animating. From the smallest lineship clocking in at about 8k triangles, to the awesome new Huginn battleship at an eyewatering 27k, the detail on these is sick. They also feature some insanely complex shaders - up to 4 seperate uv channels each , with the final Unreal material using up to 13 textures at once creating a shader with over 100 seperate instructions. we can now shut down the weapons, the engines or the cabin lighting in the material all seperately, and the grav-control surfaces will glow white hot when in operation.
Yes, we will kill your pc, but it will go down in a blaze of glory. No srsly the uengine is dealing with these babies just great, and we progress onwards and upwards.
