Ancient Empires Elysium (AEE) series mods: Roman Wars (AEE: RW work in progress) and Grand Campaign (AEE: GC) are major mods using Rome Total War (RTW) + Barbarian Invasion expansion pack (BI). Both AEE: RW and AEE: GC are epic mods covering time span from 280 B.C. to 243 A.D, but they concern different strategic theatres. Twenty one factions (19 playable). Totally new very detailed map, covering ancient world. Expanded political and magistrate system - Roman Republican System (RRS). Unique recruitment system...
Nice!
Is it possible to improve terrain textures on the campaign map, or is that hardcoded?
Strat map textures can be changed. It's not problem. Sometimes, higher areas of the map make textures blurred (texture are stretched on models).
Yeah I can imagine. I have the same problem when modding Morrowind.. Anyway, is it something you intend to do? I mean, adding high res strat map textures?
Most textures I used to make map are higher resolution than original ones (usually 512x512 instead of 256x256) The problem is game engine is not designed to read bigger skins (game start to lag), but I'm going to give last shape to map look when all work is done :).
Oh God yes this map looks so much better than the old Rome Total War. Is it in the latest version?
very good :). I think i will fall in love with rome total war 1 again ^^
I spent many months making AEE alone. I wish I could make it better, but I hope you'll like it :).
That look very good, i can appreciate the hard work in there.
quick question: there will be a campaign with a unique roman faction?? If not, do not matter, i will be gratefull anyways
sorry, english is not my native language
Hi. Yes. AEE: RW is designed as special Roman mod. I wish I could make more unique factions, but time is not mercifull :). In the meantime I made RTW vanilla style version of AEE: RW. With four Roman factions (Senate and missions plus Julii, Brutii, Scipii).
Where can I find that. I really want a remade Roman Mod with the four Roman Factions in it!
the game is not the same as in this image. There is no triple Roman family in this image.
