This patch was created to add the HD skins that came bundled with the new re-release of American McGee's Alice. I figured since many people who have played this mod had an original copy of Alice and would love to have the new HD skins without having to buy the game again. So here you are. Also, I sharpened these HD textures even more to make them look better then they originally did. Enjoy.

Very nice work on the textures and such. :)
However, both the "1st Grayd" and "2nd Grayd" doors in the "shool" get stuck as well...
Seem to be crashing constantly since i installed the mod. Whenever i save or quick-save it crashes, and just recently after i got the recipe for the getting small elixer it crashed after that cut-scene. Not really sure whats up. I'll try a few things tomorrow, maybe its my resolution (1366x768), ill change it back to 1024x768 and see if that was the problem and update here afterward.
Gotta say otherwise really love the visual changes, as well as widescreen support, makes the game look great for being as old as it is.
I will have to look into that. I did not make any changes to any of the maps so I am not sure what could be causing the problem. Please let me know if there are anymore problems like this.
Must be something to do with the doors not the maps them self maybe an animation on something is not loaded.
Actually it was being caused by the cutscene that occurs right before you get to the door. The one where Alice rides that cart down the tracks. If you let the cutscene play through you'll notice that when she jumps on the cart and it begins to raise up with her on it, it stops moving once it reaches that lantern with the fire. I removed the file for the lantern that allowed it to cast a shadow and the problem was fixed. A patch has been uploaded and will be available as soon as it's authorized. Let me know of anymore problems like this. Thank you all for your help. Oh yeah, please vote. I'd like to know what you guys think about this mod.
Great mod my one of my favorite games, glad to someone doing something because some companies are just in it for money :cough:EA:cough:.
I found a bug right after picking up the deck of cards in pandemonium to the left is a 2 door corridor the first door opens but the second one stutters like the is something blocking the door from behind. Tested with patch and with out. Worked with out patch.
I also got this bug, it happens where there is an enemy stuck behind the door trying to open it. The only solution i found for the moment is to use the noclip cheat to go through the door.
Very interesting... I may just have to break out this classic game and give it a try.
I must say enhancements for older games seem to go either way, some are really nice and help keep a classic game alive, while others just look awkward and seem to....(humma)... "crap all over" the original artistic design. Yours does seem to fit into the formercategoryy.
Any built-in widescreesupportrt ?

I didn't add any kind of widescreen support with this mod. But if you add these commands to the autoexec file that came with my mod you can set your own personal screen resolution.
seta r_mode "-1"
seta r_customwidth "1920"
seta r_customheight "1080"
Simply use notepad or wordpad to open the autoexec.cfg file and add these 3 lines at the top of the list of commands. Change the customwidth and the customheight variables to match your prefered resolution dimensions. Hope this helps.
I didn't make any changes to the artwork. I merely enhanced the textures by sharpening all of them to bring out more of the detail in them. So the original art direction was not changed. And anything else that I altered such as weapon strengths were changed because they were actually faults that critics found in the game back when it came out. I scoured the net for reviews on this game when it was released and tried to fix all of the flaws that were stated in the reviews. So I don't think I hurt anything. Enjoy, I think you'll like it very much.
It's still being authorized aswell as the news announcing the release. ModDB can sometimes take a little while with authorizations. Don't worry. I'm a man of my word. I uploaded it Thursday night.
